I feel very out of place being back in this particular area of Buzzjack but here is my reshuffled list of 2014's biggest hits according to personal preference. The #1 was a tough battle between the three top songs but I awarded it to Beyoncé due to its presence throughout the year whilst Ella's and Taylor's hits came much later. I don't think I missed anything but no doubt in about two months' time this will look incorrect (see: Daft Punk topping my 2013 equivalent).

Helloooooo. I listened to like no music this year so I don't even know all of these songs :D But let's go:

1. Beyoncé ft. Jay-Z – “Drunk in Love” - Beyoncé is a fabulous album but this is actually one of my least favourite songs on it. In the end I was really disappointed by the chosen singles :( 'XO' is wonderful, 'Partition' is amazing and '***Flawless' is alright (tho I much prefer the 'Bow Down' part of it). But 'Drunk In Love' has always just annoyed me, always preferred the weirder songs like 'Ghost / Haunted'.

7. Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX – “Fancy” - No :( Terrible.

14. Ariana Grande and The Weeknd – “Love Me Harder” - Yes. I love it. I feel like every Ariana single has been better than the preceding one so far with this era and this is just gorgeous. Don't really care for The Weeknd's vocals at all but the production is glorious. Her other singles this year have also been good but I'm still not really convinced by her. Not least because she barely even feels like the main artist on 'Problem'...

20. Cheryl ft. Tinie Tempah – “Crazy Stupid Love” - Is the album worth listening to? I like 'I Don't Care' a fair bit but this was a big disappointment to me. Title track is gorgeous but it seems like even Cheryl doesn't care about the album which doesn't really enthuse me.

26. Ellie Goulding – “Goodness Gracious” - Yes *.* I am amazed that you not only like this song but actively remember it. It's one of my favourite singles of the year for sure but I swear virtually everyone else thinks it's a monstrosity. So much better than 'Burn'.

29. One Direction – “Night Changes” - Mentioning this only to say that I genuinely haven't heard a 1D song since 'Best Song Ever' and I don't even know why that is. I own both of their first two albums and they're quite alright but I just stopped being able to bother listening to their music. This song has a really nice title though.

38. Paloma Faith – “Only Love Can Hurt Like This” - I'm so glad this ended up being such a surprise hit. What a gorgeous song! But 'Trouble With My Baby' was even better and bombed directly after. No idea what happened there.

That's it  I swear I follow the charts and still don't listen to the majority of what's in them, so I really don't have much to comment on. But it's a nice top 50.

1. Beyoncé ft. Jay-Z – “Drunk in Love”

2. Ella Henderson – “Ghost”

:o I hate to give spoilers for my end of year chart when I'm only on #190, but we've got the same top 2, in the same order. So naturally I think you have an amazing end of year chart. :kink:

Aside from Waves which is one of my least favourite songs of the year to be honest, fabulous top 10! I love pretty much every song, although I find DIL a bit overrated (I still really like it though).

Agree with Liam about the top 10, all fabulous apart from waves :)

Yay for shake it off, ghost and blank space all top 10, definitely 3 of my favourites this year

Hey Theo

1. Beyoncé ft. Jay-Z – “Drunk in Love” Fabulous #1! I in no way say Beyoncé becoming as massive as she did in 2009 and here we are, probably one of the biggest female stars in the UK right now, music wise.

2. Ella Henderson – “Ghost” It's a shame she hasn't managed to do nearly as well in the chart with either of the two follow up songs to this. They're both lovely but this definitely outshines them. It's an amazing 'debut' for anyone to have but coming from an xfactor contestant was something no one expexted I think.

3. Taylor Swift – “Shake it Off”

4. Mr. Probz – “Waves (Robin Schulz Remix)”

5. Ariana Grande ft. Zedd – “Break Free”

6. Katy Perry ft. Juicy J – “Dark Horse” This took weeks to grow in me but it eventually became one of my fave Katy Perry songs ever! Also it touched #1 on my year to date at one point for several weeks before being knocked off.

7. Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX – “Fancy”

8. Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne – “Rather Be” This is good but in no way should it have been as massive as it was. Real Love & Mozart's House are much better imo. I discovered Clean Bandit when Mozart's House was released last year and have been following them since then.

9. Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea – “Problem”

10. Taylor Swift – “Blank Space” This may be one of the finest pop songs ever written along with Out Of The Woods. I have nothing but admiration for Taylor though cause transitioning from her main genre in music could have went down terribly and here she did it flawlessly!

12. Sia – “Chandelier”

14. Ariana Grande and The Weeknd – “Love Me Harder”

15. Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora – “Black Widow”

16. Gorgon City ft. MNEK – “Ready for Your Love”

17. Rita Ora – “I Will Never Let You Down”

18. Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj – “Bang Bang”

19. Nicole Scherzinger – “Your Love” This is just okay for me. I really don't like what she's done quite her music. Her debut solo era is far and above my fave from her.

20. Cheryl ft. Tinie Tempah – “Crazy Stupid Love”!Cheryl seems to have lowered herself quality wise in her music Too. This may be her weakest album yet tbh.

21. George Ezra – “Budapest”

22. Nicki Minaj – “Anaconda”

23. Cheryl – “I Don't Care”

24. Oliver Heldens and Becky Hill – “Gecko (Overdrive)”

25. Ella Eyre – “Comeback” Most definitely deserves to be her biggest seller this year. Great commercial appeal and the video is one of my faves all year. It must be great just to let loose like ray sometimes

26. Ellie Goulding – “Goodness Gracious” This is my fave Ellie song ever! It's just so Damn catchy!

28. Tove Lo ft. Hippie Sabotage – “Stay High (Habits Remix)”

29. One Direction – “Night Changes”

30. Maroon 5 – “Animals”

32. Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding – “Outside”

35. Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne – “Real Love”  Like I said earlier this should have followed immediately after Rather Be and is much better imo. Would love them to follow with music Like Mozart's House Now. That remains perfect for me.

36. Little Mix – “Salute”

37. Shakira ft. Rihanna – “Can't Remember to Forget You”

38. Paloma Faith – “Only Love Can Hurt Like This” SPOILER. This is my #1 Eoy 2014, but I'm only at #116 just now so whoops for telling Haha. This is her most flawless one yet although her newest one is like a part 2 to this so no doubt it's gonna be in my top 3 Paloma tracks of all Time

39. Tom Odell – “Real Love”

40. G.R.L. – “Ugly Heart”

41. Gwen Stefani – “Baby Don't Lie” 5(8: seems to be so underrated. I get that's it's not what people were expecting from Gwen but it's a brilliant Comeback. It's so good to hear something new from her and for it to be quite different from her other stuff is much of a bonus in my Eyes

42. John Legend – “All of Me”

44. Sam Smith – “Like I Can”

46. Beyoncé – “XO” No one does a Beyoncé quite like Beyoncé do They

47. Sam Smith – “I'm Not the Only One”

50. Pitbull ft. Kesha – “Timber”

All in all an astounding top 50. :cheer:

Hello James! Not gonna respond to you all but... how can "Drunk in Love" be your least favourite on Beyoncé?! I remember hating it to begin with but I absolutely love it now and have done for a good year now! Not really sure whether I'd say Only Human is worth giving a listen as I've not played it enough myself! It isn't really sold well with its singles (Cheryl's lowest positions on year-end charts of mine ever!) but there is a few good songs (I think). Hahaha I love "Goodness Gracious" so much! It was all I listened to this time last year, and it's still in my top 25 most-played when I shuffle that  I probably still prefer "Burn" but it's a great single anyway. Paloma is a mess! I'm surprised she managed three hit singles and a hit album this year and still hasn't managed another post-album top 40 yet!

1. Beyoncé ft. Jay-Z – “Drunk in Love”

2. Ella Henderson – “Ghost”

How can you hate "Waves"?! Such a feel good song... I listened to it all the time on my summer holiday last year!

Agree with Liam about the top 10, all fabulous apart from waves :)

Ditto what I said to Liam!

Beyoncé has ALWAYS been one of the biggest artists in the world! I don't remember a time when she's not been on top! Glad to see you're liking Gwen's single too, it's much better than the (surprise, surprise) Pharrell release that she's shitting out next!

I keep coming back to 'Drunk in Love' and it's quite firmly my favourite from her now! Brilliant to see it at #1 and it will be doing ~v fairly~ well in my own countdown too. It's defined the good times of the past year for me so i have nothing but love for it. The entirety of 'Beyoncé' is outstanding though not just this - it's her masterpiece and i hope she continues to go from strength to strength with anything she does in the future because she's set the bar insanely high now. Consider me a part-time LOON. 'XO' flopping here though, o.

'2 On' and 'Chandelier' get the Haus seal of approval too

It's not at "Crazy in Love" levels for me yet but the pair of them are probably my favourite Bey songs.
