I've made it to the Top 10! Can you actually believe that? x

Preventing Calvin Harris' current girlfriend Taylor Swift from a EOY Top 10 placing is his ex Rita Ora *.* 'I Will Never Let You Down' was in fact produced by Calvin, and it peaked at #1 on two separate occasions in its chart life - in its debut week and in its 8th week in the chart. This is easily my favourite Rita song to date.

Katy Perry couldn't dark horse her way to the top of my chart, stalling at #2 for 5 consecutive weeks! That's the longest run at that position for a #2 peaking song in my chart history. Four songs kept her off #1: 'Into The Blue' by Kylie for 1 week, 'You're Mine (Eternal)' by Mariah for 1 week, 'Not Giving Up' by The Saturdays for a fortnight and finally 'Nobody To Love' by Sigma.

The artist formerly known as Cheryl Cole made her music comeback with 'Crazy Stupid Love' featuring Tinie Tempah. It was her first solo release in nearly 2 years. Just like Rita, Cheryl had two 1 week spells at #1 with this single. Sax sax sax. Sax sax sax. Sax sax sax sax sax. Sax sax sax.

 I still listen to 'I Will Never Let You Down' quite regularly out of those 3!

'What Are You Waiting For?' became The Saturdays' biggest flop to date in the UK chart, entering at a mere #38. It was quite the opposite situation in my chart, where the song spent an impressive 3 weeks at #1. The party ain't over 'til we party through!

Faring slightly better for Cheryl in my EOY of year than 'Crazy Stupid Love' is 'I Don't Care'. It stayed at #1 for 4 weeks, the longest run at the top in 2014, tied with Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space'.

Ella Henderson's long awaited debut single 'Ghost' didn't disappoint, and made an instant impact in my chart last April when it entered at #1. 'Ghost' was one of just two hits to stay in my Top 40 for over 30 weeks, managing 32 to the end of 2014.

No Chezza top 5, warra flop x

WAYWF? Really underrated in my opinion! Such a fantastic party song and it was AMAZING live *.*

Ghost was a perfect lesson on how to do a debut single. So catchy and instantly made an impact. Shame it flopped and she's being dropped x

Mirror Man is going to be appalled when he finds out 'Ghost' only got to #4 here. Not even Top 3! Not enough radio support in Jayrusalem.

 I agree, 'WAYWF?' was a real party moment live in concert. *.* That prompted the 39-05 climb in its chart run!

Almost finished!!

Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX scored a massive hit in 2014 with 'Fancy', which really threw Iggy into the mainstream. The song was something of a slow-burner in my chart, entering at #11, climbing to #5 but fading quickly to #13. It hovered around my Top 15 until it finally exploded in its 13th week, climbing to #1. This is one of the longest lengths of time that a song has taken to peak at #1! 'Fancy' achieved great longevity, and spent 34 weeks in my Top 40 (not consecutively).

In the same week that Iggy debuted at #11, Sigma entered straight in at #1 with 'Nobody To Love'. Drum and bass songs usually aren't my thing, but this song is incredibly special to me. It managed 2 weeks at #1 and 12 weeks in the Top 10, so it should be no surprise to see this song as high as #2 in my EOY. But which song is #1 of the year 2014? Stay tuned Joseph ( ) everyone!

...and Mel B is your EOY #1 for the second year running :o :kink:

Fancy  my #1 of 2014!! So so good, I listened through my headphones earlier and GOSH it's still such a jam!

!! 'Something New' didn't top my EOY 2012 though Yu! It came third behind 'Call My Name' and 'Starships'. :o

Dat jam *_* It's undeniable tbh, such a tune.

I can confirm that Mel B is indeed #1 with my BJSC winner 'For Once In My Life'. :o

So there we have it! Iggy Azalea may have failed to top my EOY with 'Fancy', but she has done it via featuring on Ariana Grande's 'Problem'! What an infectious earworm of a song this is! Although it only managed to nab 1 week at #1, it moved around in the Top 5 for a total of 8 weeks, 4 of those being at #2. I also found this song to be very uplifting during a difficult time, so it's special to me in terms of that - a song that can lift your mood and make you temporarily forget your problems is always a winner. Well done Ariana & Iggy!

Thanks everyone who has contributed to this thread, particularly Joseph! I'll be posting a full Top 200 list shortly.
