Superstars to rock summer

ROBBIE Williams, U2 and Kylie Minogue are set to headline a superstar summer of rock.

Concert promoters have begun booking dates for an A-list trifecta at Docklands.

Williams will do a series of shows in outdoor stadiums in December.

"Robbie Williams will be here this year," promoter Michael Chugg said yesterday.

"I will not comment further."

Chugg is finalising stadium dates for Williams in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

http://www.fans-supreme.de/coppermine/albums/userpics/10793/normal_l040.jpg

But Williams may have to fight for stadium space.

The summer tour calendar is filling with superstars.

U2 frontman Bono has reserved two dates at Telstra Dome in November.

"At this point in time, the venue is on hold waiting for U2's go-ahead to announce," an industry source said.

Kylie Minogue is planning to stage her comeback show in Melbourne in November.

Superstars Elton John and Billy Joel are also planning visits early next year.

U2, citing personal reasons, scrapped its Australian dates in March.

Guitarist The Edge's daughter, Sian, was ill.

Bono has said U2 wants to perform the rescheduled shows in November.

But, behind the scenes, underwriters are working hard on insurance matters.

"U2 is restaging a world tour from scratch. This involves a substantial set of expenditures," a U2 insider said.

U2 incurred "several million dollars in costs" for dropping their March dates.

"For better or worse, rock and roll is no longer an art form where you can spontaneously do things," the source said.

"Everything has to be in place."

U2's Australian promoter, Michael Coppel, refused to comment on background issues.

But he said a tour decision from U2 is imminent.

If the tour reconvenes in November, it will be the same show touted in March. US rapper, Kanye West, will support U2.

"The intention is to replay the shows they would have played in March," Mr Coppel said.

"They will be hotter shows because the band will have been off the road for eight months.

"Essentially, nobody will miss out on what they were hoping to see. The bonus is U2 will be energised and ready to play."

Tour plans for U2 and Williams follow Kylie Minogue's wish for a comeback spectacular celebrating her 20 years as pop princess.

Minogue, 37, says her return to the stage must happen in Melbourne in November for family, friends and local supporters.

Tour sources say the shows, postponed while Minogue has fought cancer, will launch a special 2007 tour acknowledging Kylie's third decade as pop superstar and survivor.

Next July marks the 20th anniversary release of Minogue's debut single, Locomotion.

Robbie Williams reunited with Take That bandmates, after 11 years apart

Friday May 12th, 2006 at 2:59 pm by HeatherHoneypot

The entire original Take That line-up were reunited on Tuesday night for the first time since Robbie Williams left the band in 1994.

Robbie invited his former bandmates to meet him at the luxury Conrad hotel in Chelsea Harbour, West London after their sell-out gig at Wembley Arena but the four were delayed by autograph hunters - and their late arrival worried Robbie:

A source told the Sun: “Robbie looked a bit nervous waiting for the boys.â€

“He was sat on his own at the bar in a black hoody.â€

“The bus pulled up outside the doors and the boys ran into the hotel one by one through the foyer and into the bar.â€

“When Gary went through Robbie stood up and they both hugged and laughed. Gary [barlow] said, ‘How are you? It’s been a while …’â€

“Over the past 11 years they have hardly spoken to each other and since the band got back together last November their only means of communication was through Mark.â€

“They looked quite emotional. They haven’t all been in a room all together for almost 11 years - it was like old times.â€

According to reports, Robbie is set to join his old band on stage for “more than one gig†on their current comeback tour.

:) It's so emotional. I think I might cry

Robbie is on Jonathan Ross TV show this coming Friday ( not singing by the looks of it  )

This is from the BBC Press Office Website-

Rumpologist psychic Sam is reading the bottoms of the rich and famous

Rumpologist Sam Amos will be getting to grips with celebrities and soccer stars this weekend.

The woman who normally reads the internet derrieres of the rich and famous is to use her psychic talents at a celebrity football tournament on Sunday in front of the television cameras.

She will be using her mystic powers on guests on Sky and she intends to get to the bottom of people including soccer, pop and soap celebrities.

Psychic Leeds mother of two Sam, 48, who claims she can tell a person's future by simply looking at their bottom, said: "People sometimes think it's not possible, but I always prove them wrong and challenge them with what I can see if they are sceptical. Bottoms have tell-tale lines just like palms and to a clairvoyant they speak volumes."

This weekend the music industry's Celebrity Soccer Six event at the Birmingham City ground will raise cash for The Samaritans and other charities.

Musicans and celebrities will don their soccer boots for the annual event, now in it's 12th year.

Stars who will play include Goldie Lookin Chain, Liberty X, Kasabian, Angus Deaton, John Leslie, Tony Christie and Roy Walker.

The event will also feature soap stars from Coronation Street , Holby City, The Bill, Hollyoaks, Shipwrecked and the X-Factor.

Seasoned ex-professional soccer players making an appearance will include Lee Sharpe, Micky Thomas, Matt Le Tissier, Ian Rush and Graham LeSaux and other stars of today are expected to drop in.

Sam will be there to exercise her astonishing skills.

She says there is only a handful of rumpologists in the world – including celebrity Big Brother star Jackie Stallone who is mum to Sylvester.

Sam said: "I have been a psychic and clairvoyant for more 20 years but in recent years have turned to reading rumps. Among the famous I have read are Robbie Williams, Darius and Lee Ryan from Blue.

"Some people might say it's a load of rubbish but I certainly manage to make a living from it. I don't get excited by it anymore."

She said if you have a pert bottom like Kylie Minogue, you are outgoing and if you have a rounded bottom, like Jennifer Lopez, you are strong-willed.

Now living in Knottingley, near Pontefract, Sam, who has two daughters Dana, 23, a singer and 13-year-old Marcia, has given up poring over people's palms and has taken to asking them to drop their trousers.

Her preferred method of reading derrieres is via e-mail as people can be shy.

Someone can send her a picture of their butt and she will read the lines and creases for a small fee.

"It started about five years ago when at a clairvoyant party I said there are lines all over a person's body which can be read," she said.

"One of the women there dared me to look at her bottom and I did and several predictions I made from studying her butt came true," said Sam.

"As far as I am aware, there are only two people in the world who do bottom readings."

Sam will appear on Sky One on Sunday at 9pm.

Can't I make up with you?

I CAN reveal the feud between ROBBIE WILLIAMS and GARY BARLOW is finally over — after a staggering 11 years.

The original TAKE THAT line-up had an old boys’ reunion at a secret party on Tuesday.

And it is good news for the reformed band’s fans who want to see Robbie appearing on stage with his old mates during their tour.

http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e272/handsomeman/c33b18c4.jpg

Friends again ... Robbie and Gary

And it is good news for the reformed band’s fans who want to see Robbie appearing on stage with his old mates during their tour.

Robbie invited MARK OWEN, HOWARD DONALD, JASON ORANGE and Gary to meet him at the swanky Conrad hotel in Chelsea Harbour, West London, next to his luxury pad.

He had Been Expecting the boys at the hotel bar shortly after their sell-out gig at Wembley Arena. But they got held up after fans hounded them for autographs after the concert and didn’t turn up until 12.45am.

As the quartet stepped off the blacked-out tour bus the whole of Take That — who had a 1993 hit with Why Can’t I Wake Up With You — had their first emotional reunion since splitting in 1995.

Robbie held out a huge olive branch to his old foe by giving him a massive hug.

Gary told me at the Newcastle gig that the Rock DJ would appear on stage for more than one date during the band’s tour. This reunion was the first chance all the lads could get to talk over the plans for Robbie’s comeback.

A source told me: “Robbie looked a bit nervous waiting for the boys.

“He was sat on his own at the bar in a black hoody.

“The bus pulled up outside the doors and the boys ran into the hotel one by one through the foyer and into the bar.

“When Gary went through Robbie stood up and they both hugged and laughed. Gary said, ‘How are you? It’s been a while . . . ’

“Over the past 11 years they have hardly spoken to each other and since the band got back together last November their only means of communication was through Mark.

“They looked quite emotional. They haven’t all been in a room all together for almost 11 years — it was like old times.†After their brief hellos the boys disappeared into a private room in the hotel to chat about the gig.

And I reckon they had a lot to discuss with Robbie’s “surprise†appearance coming up.

JORDAN and PETER ANDRE had been sat in the bar watching the reunion unfold.

And Gary’s wife Dawn — who is a dancer on the tour — invited them to join the exclusive bash.

A source said: “All the old crew mates joined them for the mini celebration.

“It was like they were easing Robbie back into to the gang for when he goes on stage with them.â€

So Robbie, any Regrets?

ROBBIE'S 1 WEDS

EXCLUSIVE I'M HAPPY FOR YOU, HE TELLS EX RACHAEL

ROBBIE Williams's one true love has finally given up on their on-off romance... to marry someone else.

Childhood sweetheart Rachael Gilson, 33, was flown out to the singer's Los Angeles mansion a year ago and he said: "You're the one - I'm ready to make a go of it".

But five days later she was back home after yet another split, which she, blamed on Robbie's huge fame.

Model Rachael last night revealed that, she had married company director Martin Livesey, 33, and that they had recently returned from honeymoon on the island of Mauritius.

Speaking at their home in Bury, Lancs, she said: "It's true, I got married. I'm really happy. Rob knows and he's happy for me, too."

It's thought Rachael confided in Robbie before her wedding last month. They fell in love when they were 16. In his autobiography Robbie named her as his one true love.

Blow to Posh and Becks glitzy World Cup party as top celebs turn down invitation EXCLUSIVE Rooney & Coleen set to snub big bash Half the England team won't be there And even Sven is giving his apologies

By Alice Walker

POSH and Becks' plans for the glitziest World Cup bash ever have taken a big knock, The People can reveal.

Wayne Rooney and fiancŽe Coleen McLoughlin look set to snub the £500,000 extravaganza next Sunday.

And about HALF the England team will give the party at Becking-ham Palace a miss.

Even England coach Sven Goran Eriksson - one of David Beckham's closest confidants - won't be joining the 500 celebrity guests at the glittering event where they will be treated to big name entertainment.

Last night a source told The People: "Wayne and Coleen were sent their invite over a month ago David and Victoria hoped the party would be a real show of unity before England kick off their World Cup campaign in Germany.

"Wayne and Coleen had until Friday to put their name on the guest list for the big day. But neither has accepted the invitation.

A source close to Rooney insisted: "They do have other commitments."

FA bosses are worried about the timing of the party - 24 hours before the squad fly to Portugal to train.

Players staying away will probably include Man United defender Rio Ferdinand and mid-fielder Steven Gerrar hero of Liverpool's FA Cup victory yesterday. He was invited with fiancŽe Alex Curran.

Arsenal defender Sol Campbell is not expected to be there - even though his ex-girlfriend Kelly Hoppen has helped plan the event.

Wayne and Coleen's absence from Posh and Goldenballs' Full Length And Fabulous charity party will do nothing to ease tensions between the couples.

Rivalry between Victoria, 32, and Coleen, 20, is inevitable. Both Posh and Coleen naturally want to be the queen bee of footballers' wives. These days Posh has turned to fashion including launching her own jeans range after giving up pop.

Meanwhile Scouser Coleen has transformed herself from chav to fashion icon - landing £6million promotions deals in the process.

Rooney had an amazing bust-up with England captain Becks, 31, last September when he told him to f*** off after a 1-0 defeat against Northern Ireland. Man United striker Rooney, 20, was alleged to have branded David a "flash b******" in the dressing room afterwards. But he later apologised for the outburst made in the heat of the moment.

David hoped that all the England team would be there for a "last supper" in the run up to June's tournament.

But one insider helping organise the bash at the Beckhams' Hertfordshire mansion said: "If David wanted this to be the ultimate team-bonding exercise, forget it. There is a whole stream of stars now not going." Ferdinand's agent said he thought the player would be at the Cannes Film festival.

Players who WILL be there include Michael Owen - with wife Louise - Ashley Cole, Gary Neville, John Terry and Paul Robinson.

Squad members who have yet to reply to their invitations include: Jamie Carragher, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole. Ronaldo, Beck's Real Madrid friend, is flying in. Show biz celebs Paris Hilton, Will Young, Beyonce, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Ross Kemp, Jeremy Clarkson and Elle Macpherson have also accepted.

Guests will be treated to a laser show before a gourmet meal by TV chef Gordon Ramsay. Robbie Williams, James Brown and Julio Iglesias will entertain at the bash in a huge marquee surrounded by palm trees. A source said: "Some players only have a few days off with their families before the World Cup. David understands some will stay away for this reason.

"It's just one of those things. We're sure it will still be a fabulous party."

Acourding to the Sun it will be on ITV on May 21st

But it's not official and will probebly only be highlights

Oooh do hope so! :cheer:

But they'll probably cut Robbie out of the highlights

Here is a really weird story I came across. It's from a newspaper called Ripley Today

http://www.ripleytoday.co.uk

Woman faces anguish over Robbie rumours

A SWANWICK woman has faced six months of anguish over claims that she is Robbie Williams' half sister.

Sue Noble of New Street has been subject to tabloid journalists from national newspapers, knocking on her door and asking if she's the mega star's half sister.

Sue , who is adamant that she is not related to the Stoke-on-Trent born singer, said: "The first I heard of it was when a journalist knocked on my mum's door six months ago, since then a number of others have turned up on my doorstep and called.

"One turned up and said he had a tip-off that I was Robbie's half sister. He was quite obnoxious and made a comment about my house not being like the Robbie Williams lifestyle. He also had a copy of my birth certificate and asked why it didn't say Williams on it.

"Another said he had genuine information and reason to believe that my mum had an affair with Robbie's dad in the 60s. My parents have been married since 1958, my mum never knew Robbie's dad and she involved the police when journalists started knocking on her door."

Sue is so sick of the unwanted attention that she has even consulted a solicitor. A letter was sent to two national newspapers in March, instructing them to stop harassing her. She even offered to provide a DNA sample, but hasn't heard anything back yet.

On her solicitor's advice she has turned to the Ripley and Heanor News to put the record straight and tell everyone she is nothing to do with Robbie.

"I need your help," she said, when she telephoned last week.

She doesn't know why people have been led to believe that she is related to the star but thinks that there has been a mix-up somewhere along the line.

She said: "There is no way I'm his half sister, unless someone is not telling me something."

Robbie Williams' press office had no comment to make. on the allegations when contacted by the News.

It is weird isn't it?

You expect people to come out the woodwork alleging that they are related to Robbie. Not the other way around.
