Wednesday, August 16, 2006 Pop diva Grace Jones is set for a court appearance after allegations that she trashed a Chelsea flat - that used to belong to her.

The 'wilful' damage is said to be done to her former £1.5million Chelsea Harbour home.

Jones ended her tenancy on the two-bed property in February of this year.

:o The complex is also home to Robbie Williams and George Michael.

Damage caused to the property is said to include a £168 bill for spoons that have been 'blackened' by fire. Jones is also said to owe some £5,600 in rent. The damages total £10,000.

The 58-year-old moved intot he flat in November 2003. Her rent was £40,000 a year. But when she moved out, the landlords said that widespread damage had been caused.

Jones is a notoriously volatile character. During her peak of fame in the 80s she hit chat show host Russell Harty.

More recently she caused chaos on a Eurostar train when she was accused of aussalting a train manager - an allegation she strongly denied.

Robbie Williams, not exactly the shyest guy on the block, ;) has abandoned his blog have revealing too much about his bedroom antics. :P

 

Williams has been regularly updating fans about his latest conquests online until one of his many women read a post and didn’t like what she saw. (wonder if that was miss smelly bum :lol: )

A friend of the former Take That man told the Daily Star: “Robbie really got into it and talked about all the stuff he got up to with women.â€

 

“But one of them read it online and hit the roof. He hasn’t updated it for ages now.â€

Ok, so that one entry (if you know which one I mean and I could imagine that is the girl who complained...) was a bit over the top, but he need not stop it all just because of that.

Before reading this article I thought the lack of blog updates was just due to the tour and that we get the backstage video clips instead.

Anyway, still hoping he's just been too busy to update the Blog (what with Heidi and all). Although given that a few Blog entries have been deleted there's probably some truth in the article.

Robbie records with Lily

Lily Allen will feature on the new Robbie Williams album, after recording three tracks as an unknown, according to reports.

 

The pop star, who claimed a debut Number One with her first single, "Smile", apparently contributed vocals to the forthcoming LP before she became famous.

 

Robbie is understood to have been workng with Mark Ronson, along with the Pet Shop Boys and William Orbit, on the album when he encountered Lily.

 

She told Australia's Herald Sun newspaper how it happened: "I was recording with Mark Ronson, and he was working on Robbie's album.

 

"It was before anything happened with me. He needed a female vocalist. I said fine and did it and I think Robbie's quite pleased now.

 

"I think they sound pretty good, though I can't actually remember what they're called or how they go." :rolleyes:

The first material from Robbie's new album, "Rudebox", is released on September 4.

Chili Peppers Continue To Burn In Europe

Red Hot Chili Peppers keeps hold of top place on European Top 100 Albums, leading the way with "Stadium Arcadium" (Warner Bros.) for the second consecutive week and seventh in total. Released in May, the album is still top ten in Germany, Italy, Holland, Switzerland and the Belgian region of Flanders.

 

The top three titles on Top 100 Albums are unchanged, with Nelly Furtado's "Loose" (Geffen) holding at No. 2 and Shakira's "Oral Fixation Vol.2" (Epic) at No. 3. The Shakira album holds at No. 1 in Greece and moves 5-4 in Ireland and 9-8 in Spain. But there's new blood in the top five of the composite album survey in the form of Jan Delay's "Mercedes Dance" (Univeral) at No. 4 and Slayer's "Christ Illusion" (Warner Bros.) at No. 5.

 

Delay debuts strongly in the G/S/A territories, where it is No. 1 in Germany, No. 2 in Austria and No. 3 in Switzerland. The hip-hop/reggae artist is a former member of the rap group Absolute Beginnerz.

 

Veteran U.S. hard rock act Slayer maintains a strong following in Germany, where it's new behind Delay at No. 2. In Greece, "Illusion" is in at No. 3. While in Finland, it dips to No. 4 after a No. 2 start last week.

 

Scottish-Irish group Snow Patrol is showing staying power with its current Fiction/Polydor album "Eyes Open." It's back into the composite top ten 11-8 after rising 3-2 in its 15th chart week in the United Kingdom. The album's second single there, "Chasing Cars," has made steady progress of 25-15-13-10, while "Eyes Open" also climbs back 3-1 in Ireland, having debuted at the top there in May.

 

Robbie Williams' "Intensive Care" (Chrysalis), released last October, is also on the rise again, only weeks before the release of its follow-up set, "Rudebox." Fuelled by his current "Close Encounters" tour of Europe, which began in June, the album is back up 52-3 in France. The tour reaches Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium tomorrow (Aug. 18), and Williams' second show there on Saturday will reach an audience of millions as it's being broadcast live by a vast array of radio stations throughout Europe.

 

California band Orson rebounds 12-4 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart with its "Bright Idea" set, causing a 36-16 move on Top 100 Albums. Its current single "Happiness" climbs 52-27 on the British singles survey.

 

The Eurochart Hot 100 Singles chart is also ruled by an artist on their second run at No. 1. "Hips Don't Lie" (Epic) by Shakira featuring Wyclef Jean leads the survey for the 13th week in total, the last 11 of which have been consecutive. It's on top in the United Kingdom, on total sales of 287,000 units, and in Ireland. The single climbs 5-4 in Switzerland, holds at No. 4 in Austria and No. 6 in Italy.

 

On the Eurochart, the main challenge to Shakira's leadership comes from Rihanna's "Unfaithful" (SRP/Def Jam), which spent two weeks at No. 5 and then dropped to No. 6. The track is now back up to No. 2 after debuting at No. 2 in Germany and climbing 2-1 in Switzerland, 12-3 in Norway and 8-4 in Flanders. It also holds at No. 2 in Ireland.

Between 1.6 and 1.7 million in the UK and well over 6 million worldwide Not sure the exact figure though -_-

 

You never know, it might end up reaching 2 million in the UK at some point, fingers crossed. :yahoo:
