Robbie defends his rapping

27/09/2006 -

Robbie Williams has defended his latest single Rudebox after fans' mixed reactions to his rap efforts.

The former Take That star has broken away from his pop roots on the track, provoking criticism from devotees - but Williams loves it.

"It has a very special place in my heart," the singer told MTV.

"I think out of any Robbie Williams song I've written, I've listened to Rudebox the most. I've played it to death; it's almost worn out my computer."

Addressing the mediocre response to the track, Williams said: "It's confused me. Lots of people have said: 'We don't like it, we don't get it', but to me it's really strong. I personally love it."

Fair point too, jackie. I guess there are reasons for both, posting the nasty stuff and NOT posting it.

It's quite sad that we're even discussing this. It's not like it is the first time Rob has got bad press but these days it is really getting out-of-hand. Sometimes I don't even feel like reading anything online because I fear I will stumble across something really nasty

With many of the things written I think it would be Rob's turn now to sue somebody, preferably the 3am girls. I mean, they make it look like he's gone totally mental, that's not funny anymore.

I can't believe that they are getting away with writing stuff like that, it's just not right.

But I guess by suing them they would get too much attention which they don't deserve. <_<

How I agree with you Monsoon, its almost as if they want to "tip him over the edge" and us with him. But they won't the blighters.

I wanted to send a comment the other day to the Daily Mail until I saw that they edit and even choose what goes up which I know goes on, but it got me thinking, during the long winter months I am actually going to give myself a Brief, and that is to find out just how free the freedom of speech is in the UK.

This country prides itself on just that, but does it exist, because if I can't get a little comment heard then who is ruling that basic right.

Robbie just may have started something that could take me down a lot of interesting avenues.

POP megastar Robbie Williams' car is up for sale on eBay Motors. The quirky smart crossblade was owned by Robbie for over four years and even comes with a pair of his sunglasses. B)

While Robbie's rapping efforts on his latest single Rudebox have created a mixed reaction from his fans, the chance to own his old car is sure to be a massive hit!
