Another thing.

I'm guessing here that the lyrics which are considered libellous are the ones suggesting that NMS in some way kept money from the TT boys (ie that he diddled them out of what was rightfully theirs).

I don't think the lyrics about gouging eyes out with a stanley knife are potentially libellous. ( Unless he carried out his imaginings but then that would be attempted murder and not libel  ).

If it's the 'money' thing then wouldn't there be financial records to prove or disprove matters?

Maybe a Court Case would be the best thing here. But only if the Court Case is after 23rd Oct.....

A researcher told the Star: "It seems that Robbie's music is the perfect way to heighten the pleasure of any sexual encounter." Ew! Why?!

"His tunes are either smoochy and sexy, or upbeat and energetic, so he seems just the choice for lovers to romp to."

Do you think, jups...? I thought this would be the worst, because it would mean that the album would not be released at all until things are completely settled ...?

I don't get all of this anyway. If the track is pulled off the album, will there still be a court case or not ?

The way I understand it Nigel doesn't want the track to be published, so if it won't be on the album is there still a need for going to court ?

Hello, any legal experts on here ?

GMG gives away Robbie Williams tickets in digital promo

by Sarah Woods Brand Republic 15 Sep 2006

Williams: tickets to be won

LONDON - Real UK, GMG Radio's digital network, is to launch its first digital-only promotion, in which Robbie Williams tickets will be given away to listeners.

A total of 30 tickets for the concert at Milton Keynes National Bowl will be given away to the station's listeners, courtesy of T-Mobile, on Thursday September 14 and Friday September 15 for that night's performance.

Digital listeners will also get the opportunity to win one of 10 Robbie William mobile phones supplied by Sony Ericsson.

The promotion is the first of its kind to run on the group's digital network.

John Simons, GMG Radio's group programme editor, said: "This is a great opportunity to let our digital listeners know how valuable they are to us and to see household brands such as T-Mobile and Sony Ericsson support DAB."

Yes, never mind Robbie. I think we need a lawyer.

From what I understand , NMS has said that if the 'offending' track is not removed from the album, he will instruct his lawyers to sue for libel. For this to happen I take it that the CD would need to be distributed with the 'offending' lyrics still in situe.

So any court case would be well after the CD was issued ( months if not years probably). At this Court Case NMS would try to get libel damages from Robbie and/or EMI.

If the track is pulled and the CD is issued 90's free, there can have been no 'libel' and therefore no court case.

What I'm not sure about is whether if Rob decides he is going ahead with including the 90's, NMS's lawyers can then seek some sort of injunction to stop the CD being released until a Court Case is heard. This would be very bad.

Robbie goes Sky high

By DEREK ROBINS

September 14, 2006

ROBBIE WILLIAMS' live concert helped Sky One win one of its highest audiences ever on Saturday.

The audience for Robbie Williams Live: A Close Encounter peaked with 1.02m viewers making it the channel’s most watched Saturday night programme since March 2002.

The gig was also the first to be filmed in and shown using the new high-definition format on Sky's HD channel.

However, Tuesday’s much-hyped debut for E4’s Russell Brand’s Got Issues slumped in the ratings with just 140,000 viewers.

The Big Brother’s Big Mouth star’s new series was expected to woo more viewers but it was even beaten by a repeat of movie Highlander on ITV4, which was seen by 260,000.

:yahoo:

I simply cannot believe this c**p. :o

NMP is such a prick. He makes me sick :puke2:

I don't remember him taking legal action when Rob released Karma Killer so he must be running out of money or something

What a vile, pathatic waste of oxygen this creature is :puke2:

And how on earth can he sue if Rob does'nt mention his name in the song
