Guys can I remind y'all this is not the playlist thread? Seven may be a slowpoke with the playlist thread sometimes but if you could restrain your commentary for a short period that'd be fab :magic:

ooops, apologies !

Great version of bloodstream although I am not 100% there yet but good song I can see it growing on me for sure :D

 They normally do it with big returns lol. Since it's OA/OS wouldn't it be great if radio 1 decided to just alist it straight away and keep it high in the chart instead of having its usual C-B-A slow movement?!

I mean she's a big enough artist!

Tune!!!

Can't see it being a hit unfortunately, don't think its "safe" enough :(

Barely got to the top 1000 after TOTD status. Not looking good. Radio 1 may have taken nite so might not go beyond the b/c list!
BBC Radio 1 today announced Annie Mac as the new presenter of Radio 1’s weekday evening new music show (Monday-Thursday, 7-9pm), starting on Monday 9 March.

Annie has established herself firmly as part of Radio 1’s specialist output since joining the network, and kick-starts the weekend on Radio 1 on Friday evenings (7-10pm) with the station’s flagship dance music show. Annie will continue to host her Friday evening show on the network, but will step down from her slot hosting Radio 1’s ‘Musical Hot Water Bottle’ on Sunday evenings (10pm-1am). Annie will be taking over from the show’s long-time host Zane Lowe, who is moving to the US with his family to work at Apple.

Phil Taggart will be taking over the ‘Musical Hot Water Bottle’ on Radio 1 with his first show being Sunday 1 March. He will continue to host his Thursday evening future music show on the network.

Shame Zane is leaving as I quite liked his show when I had it on for a while after Greg finished. Good luck to him in America!

Annie is a good replacement though. Love her Friday night show

Quite shocked Zane Lowe was a great dj particularly for the new music show!

Very shocked at that news, Zane Lowe is a great DJ who knows his music and is very passionate, Good Luck to him at his new job at Apple. :( :)

Annie Mac is a good replacement happy to get Annie Mac on 5 days a week hope we get a range of music on Mon-thurs. Also I wonder what will happen to 'Hottest record in the world'.

However I don't see Phil Taggart as the perfect replacement for the 10-1 Sunday night slot espically as that is dubbed as the musical hot water bottle, will that still continue I wonder?

So many questions

I'm gutted to see Zane go. :( I do enjoy listening to his show. I hope Annie Mac continues to play the wide variety that Zane plays on his show.

sad to see Zane leave, he was one of my fave R1 DJs :( Annie Mac seems just as passionate about music though so she's a very good replacement.
Annie has done a really good job covering in the past and if I'm honest I'm glad we've got her instead of them dragging someone new in.

Devastated to hear Zane Lowe is leaving. Easily the best show on Radio 1, his musical connections are unbelievably vast.

Saying that, it was only going to be Annie Mac or Huw Stephens taking over his show, so I'm glad to see Annie taking the mantle. Hoping Mon-Thurs will still be diverse like Zane's show though and not completely focused on dance music; it shouldn't be given she's still got her 7-10pm slot on a Friday for that type of music.
