July 15, 20159 yr I'm not really a fan of Lana Del Rey, I mean I like a few of her songs like Gods and Monsters, Ride, West Coast etc but generally her music isn't really my thing. I have made a promise to listen to her new album when it comes out though, I might surprise myself and like it  I listened to Honeymoon yesterday and didn't like it at all on first listen but maybe it's a grower, I'm very open to giving it as much of a chance as I can  Edited July 15, 20159 yr by Lindsey ♌
August 9, 20159 yr I've been reading the debate a few pages back about the opinions of BTD and UV and I have to give credit to Lana for not just simply trying to recreate the success of BTD with a similar-sounding album. So many artists do that these days. If one album is a monster success, a lot of artists succumb to the pressure of following it up so decide to just rehash the material and sound. UV isn't an album I'm very fond of but in all fairness I've played it in full a grand total of once. 'Brooklyn Baby' is a monster of a song in my opinion and is one of my favourites from Lana but that's about it. That said, I liked her ideas and concept for the album but in my opinion I think it is a case of the art being there but the craft not so much. Lana had a lot of cinematic and varied themes on BTD/Paradise whereas I never really seemed wowed by UV. But as I've said, that kind of album probably won't win me over with just one listen. There's also the fact BTD had quite a few big singles/videos lifted from it so seeing them on the TV/hearing them on the radio helped me give BTD a chance whereas the only thing in the way of me giving UV a chance is being bothered to listen to it in full. Anyway, after hearing HBTB I have a lot of faith in Honeymoon. I think it is going to be sonically very different to BTD and UV which won't be a bad thing. It's good Lana isn't attempting to create a copy of albums she's already released. Edited August 9, 20159 yr by SceneofSIXCrimes
August 14, 20159 yr Lana just posted a picture on instagram with the caption "September 18th". Is it a logical conclusion that Honeymoon will be released then?! :o :o
August 15, 20159 yr Chuck just confirmed on Instagram that Honeymoon will be released September 18th :)
August 17, 20159 yr Wasn't intrigued that much by Honeymoon but I am totally loving HBTB. Absulute toon.
August 20, 20159 yr PRE-ORDER TOMORROW. Honeymoon Music To Watch Boys To Terrence Loves You God Knows I Tried High By The Beach Freak Art Deco Burnt Norton (Interlude) Religion Salvatore The Blackest Day 24 Swan Song Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood
August 20, 20159 yr I am excited. But at a distance. High By The Beach has been a surprising hit with myself, but I do worry this album has been rushed out. I guess artists have banged out albums in shorter times.
August 20, 20159 yr Apparently Terence Loves You is like Bel Air slightly mixed with Blue Jeans. Lana described it as "jazzy" and it's her favourite song from the record. Also have seen on twitter that it will be available to download tomorrow with preorder of the album!
August 20, 20159 yr High By The Beach is amazing whereas Honeymoon kinda sucks but I'm looking forward to the Nina Simone Cover omg omg omg
