September 18, 20159 yr 'The Blackest Day' is gorgeous. Very... muddy album as a whole but agreed that the second half really stands head and shoulders above the first. Feels a bit less focused than Ultraviolence.

September 18, 20159 yr The songs are monotone drone - they all sound the same so where are y'all hearin the standouts??
September 19, 20159 yr I agree with Umi that Blackest Day is a major highlight. Art Deco is so infectious. As silly as the lyrics are, 'you're so Art Deco..' Has been stuck in my head all night. Critic reviews: Guardian 4/5 Rolling Stone 4/5 NME 4/5 Independent 4/5 Telegraph 4/5 Edited September 19, 20159 yr by Joe.
September 19, 20159 yr Salvatore is my favourite. The album imreally is fantastic. It's so different from BTD, Paradise & Ultraviolence.
September 19, 20159 yr I am becoming obsessed with this. The first half of the album is so fabulous. MTWBT is incredible to play when you walk outside in the wind in your face sunny weather. So dramatic, sad and empowering at the same time. The Blackest Day is the only song from the second half I love at the moment. :(
September 19, 20159 yr Pleased with this, it's all very dreamy and slow but in a good way. Not sure why she rushed to bring out an album because of the last's bad reviews and the bring out something worse though  High by the Beach is amazing though, up there with her best already, much stronger lead than West Coast and Video Games for me  Edited September 19, 20159 yr by Josh.
September 20, 20159 yr Finally finished my listen through of the album. I agree with everyone else that The Blackest Day is a real standout. Also Art Deco, Freak and Salvatore are all amazing.
September 20, 20159 yr Highlights for me are 'Music To Watch Boys To', 'Salvatore', 'High By The Beach' & 'The Blackest Day.' I do enjoy 'Art Deco', 'Freak' and 'Honeymoon' too. The other tracks haven't grown on me yet. That said, 'Swan Song' sounds nice and I love the lyrics to 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood'.
September 21, 20159 yr The Blackest Day is defining Lana. It reminds me of Ride. Damn Drake for stealing her billboard #1
September 30, 20159 yr 5kYsxoWfjCg One of my favourites off the album. Edited September 30, 20159 yr by Joe.
September 30, 20159 yr Very nice. Feels much more naturally Lana than 'High By The Beach' (both the song and video) and the song has really grown on me over time. Is it a single, though?
September 30, 20159 yr Yet another boring single. This is actually a better album than UV, definitely more sonically diverse. It's still too downtempo and she's still singing in that annoying slurry way but The Blackest Day, Salvatore, Art Deco and Freak are all keepers.
September 30, 20159 yr Awful. Body of McDonald's. She needs to up the tempo and stop singing a slurring drone for an hour.
