This album came out a couple of weeks ago but hey, been meaning to post a thread for it for a while ~

Second album by Dawn Richard from Danity Kane / Diddy - Dirty Money. Not listened to all of it but seems to be quite good from the few songs I have heard.

This was the first single:

BUT the song I am properly obsessed with is this which is only available on the vinyl edition (making it difficult to obtain an mp3 which was annoying for reasons that will become clear very soon!!1!)

Also one of my favourite music videos of like ever  Directed by the same people behind Of Monsters And Men's 'Little Talks' video.

I gave this a download a few weeks back, if I am honest I didn't really think much stood out or excited me and haven't revisited since.

Everyone seems to be loving more than me. Got rave reviews almost everywhere. Oh well.

Shocked at that Davidson, it sounds like something you'd properly get into!

I of course, absolutely adore the album. Right from that shift from the intro into 'Calypso' it's a stunning listen. 'Billie Jean' is my HUGE highlight and i'm happy to hear we might be getting a video for it <3 The album is so exotic and flows wonderfully from track to track.

That "Tide" video is amazeballs, what was she thinking making it a vinyl only track?

The album charted at #1 on the electronic chart

Played my babe on PlugDJ and it got skipped real hard.

Unacceptable.

This album

Think it may have taken the move from "ooh this is a fab album" to SPECIAL status on this listen. Please check it out in full if you're even a little curious.

I know it's the least experimental and the safest of the songs on the album, but i just cannot get enough of 'Phoenix'. That chorus is absolutely sublime <3

Sounds like it should be a huge hit record.

It seems like you know my music taste better than I do, I can only thank you for your persistence in claiming how good this record is. Listened again today and really thoroughly enjoyed it (not quite love status yet but it is still growing you see) and it really was a great listen. Seems as though I must have been in the wrong frame of mind the first time I had tried it.

And yes, 'Pheonix' is massively wonderful
