Following on from her 2 EPs released last year which were repackaged as A Sea of Split Peas, Courtney Barnett releases her debut on March 23rd.

 

She has released Pedestrian At Best as the lead single with a bit of a strange video but I have fallen in love with this song.

I just love the wordiness of her song writing, it just demands you listen to the lyrics.

 

Can't wait to hear this one!

 

I used to find her really offputting but every new song she releases lately I seem to like more than the last, including this one! Curious how much more mileage there is to get out of daggy puns and saying words that are opposites.

Album of the year. Pedestrian At Best is my fave but Depreston is up there too, so charming and just lovely <3

I really thought I wouldn't enjoy this. It's quite lovely. Very good in the here and now, probably not so November 2015. But STILL, quite lovely.
