Posted February 17, 201510 yr 2q7eTcDoFss I'm yet to watch this episode but it was broadcast last Friday and tackled the issue of gender transitioning for Coach Beiste. I can imagine it will have been a pretty emotional episode but until I've seen it, I cannot comment (feel free to though!) Songs covered: "All About that Bass" (Meghan Trainor) "I Know Where I've Been" (Hairspray Cast) "Same Love" (Macklemore and Ryan Lewis) "Somebody Loves You" (Betty Who) "Time After Time" (Cyndi Lauper) "You Give Love a Bad Name" (Bon Jovi) Edited February 17, 201510 yr by THEO.
February 17, 201510 yr Didn't know that they'd done "Same Love" :o  I'm two episodes behind so I haven't seen this episode to judge yet either but I've had doubts about the Coach Beiste plot, worries that it could feel rushed and the idea that she's coming back as Sheldon  Although it is quite close to Shannon, it's just the connotations with the name that initially made me wonder what the writers were doing.
February 20, 201510 yr Author So this episode was quite nice in the end, minus the intolerable Clint character. Beiste's transition has felt a bit rushed overall but with only 13(?) episodes to wrap up the whole series it always was going to. The performance with the transgender choir was beautiful. That's two great episodes in a row now and a third great episode of the season.
March 11, 201510 yr This is the latest one I watched, probably my favourite of the season so far. Clint is pretty terrible I agree though! I do think Shannon's transition would have been better last season as obviously it was almost twice as long... But it's an important thing to cover and has been done so well, so I guess I don't mind. This season is much better than I expected overall actually! Nothing amazing that returns to the glory days of season 1-3ish but still.
