January 23, 20169 yr I really like 'Unstoppable'! Could be my favourite from this era so far. The verses are very 'Chandelier'
January 25, 20169 yr Broken Glass and Move Your Body are pretty f***ing fabulous. I don't know what those people who rejected them have been thinking. Shakira, okay, but Broken Glass :o
January 25, 20169 yr But Adele writes ALL her own songs, being BIOGRAPHICAL ALBUMs and all. She can mean these songs for Adele all she wang, or GaGa for that matter, and they will say no. Of course she didn't want a SIA song on her AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL album!! Edited January 25, 20169 yr by Virginia's Walls
January 25, 20169 yr Considering the current debate Gaga has in the media with 'Till It Happens To You', I think we can question how much writing she actually does.
January 25, 20169 yr Unstoppable is absolutely incredible, so reminiscent of Chandelier and many Kelly Clarkson ballads  Definitely my favourite from the album so far, fantastic track
January 25, 20169 yr Considering the current debate Gaga has in the media with 'Till It Happens To You', I think we can question how much writing she actually does. For a soundtrack song, ok, but usually GaGa, like Adele, writes all her hits - who else would write Bad Romance oe Venus?
January 27, 20169 yr I have to say I was really disappointed with Bird Set Free, One Million Bullets, Cheap Thrills and even Reaper. However the rest of the album is AMAZE. Move Your Body, Footprints, House On Fire, Broken Glass, Fighting a Sandstorm, Summer Rain and Unstoppable are all *.* I still prefer 1000 Forms of Fear but this is a great follow up.
January 28, 20169 yr Omfg what the hell was Shakira doing turning down Move Your Body !!!! What a monster of a song, it would have been her On The Floor surely??? To a lower extent I imagine but still. It absolutely demolishes everything I've heard this era :o I'm honestly floored but how amazing it is. With what I've heard so far, I can mostly see why the artists rejected it (although Cheap Thrills would have really suited Rihanna), but Move Your Body would be perfect for Shakira is a behemoth of a pop song, and the album we did get from her without it was pretty bleh. Broken Glass is so good as well, whoever rejected that is also out of their mind.
January 28, 20169 yr Can't believe Shakira passed on Move Your Body :o That should have been a global No.1!
January 28, 20169 yr I think she had 'Dare' already and only wanted the one dance song on that album... I can see why Ri turned stuff down...
January 28, 20169 yr Really adore this album, Broken Glass is stunning, got to love a double key change! Who was that meant for? Would love to see sleeve notes saying who turned down each song!
January 28, 20169 yr Remember, if it was for Adele it's basically a lie as Adele writes alllllll her own material, not Sia songs.
January 28, 20169 yr I was gonna say... she hasn't got a solo song writer track on record since '19'. (or the iTunes bonus track on '21').
January 28, 20169 yr Unless she was in the room with Sia at the time then no and it wouldn't be rejecting in that case. It would be just choosing her best songs.
January 28, 20169 yr If they both wrote it then it's a co-write  She did reject them though, so I'm not sure what you're on about, in the process of choosing the best, she rejected the ones done with/by Sia.
