Poor GRL, will this be the last we hear of them now? :(

Martin do you have Doing It's position please??

G.R.L really deserve more, it appears they not even get to release an album now. That said i never expected them to be any more successful than Stooshe managed.

Madonna hanging on then. Hopefully she can hold out for another day and get that #1. I'm hoping Jonathan Ross will keep her sales stable through next week. She is due to film the Ghosttown video in a few days. Hopefully they will rush it out.

Back to the leaks thing though, sales of Rebel Heart arent just low in the UK. They are low everywhere, way beyond what people expected. Its going to be 200k lower than what MDNA sold in America. Public opinion on hasn't changed that much within two years to explain the drop. If we get the stats of the most illegally downloaded albums of 2015 at the end of the year I bet Rebel Heart is way out in front. You guys need to remember the final version leaked on 22nd of Jan and has been out there ever since.

It's just the law of diminishing returns, she has not been able to get any airplay or anything for years now and MDNA was 3 years ago. It was much the same situation then, and a lot can change in this day and age in the pop landscape in even the space of two years. It will continue that downward pattern as well.
I refuse to believe that.

This album leaked three times. To say that had no effect would be untrue.

How can an album leak three times? Surely it either leaks or it doesn't.

Anyway, hasn't virtually every album released in the last 15 years been leaked at some point before release.?

No

Any sign of Take That Let in the sun in the singles chart?

well it was #100 on Tuesday  my guess it be much lower than that now :P

Friday Update

1 Flo Rida ft. Sage the Gemini - G.D.F.R *

2 Years & Years - King

3 Sam Smith & John Legend - Lay Me Down

34 Calvin Harris ft. HAIM - Pray to God *

38 G.R.L - Lighthouse *

Ah shame about no sales  I guess they want us to be in suspense this weekend

I'm feeling more confident that Thing won't be #1 this week :cheer: and it's possible King will return to #1 (but hard to tell without sales )

Looks like Calvin is getting another top 40 hit :cheer: and maybe even top 30 on sales. Poor G.R.L. though :nocheer: although Ugly Heart was better by far, they deserve at least top 40 with this one  (hoping top 40 sales :please:

What difference does it make being top 40 on sales if it's not on the official one?

If anything that probably makes it worse. :(

Well not much, but I'd like to think it's still top 40 even if it didn't have enough streams to make the official one. So many songs miss the combined top 40 because of lack, or even no streams

These sales are online, with no source, I can't confirm if they are true or not.

UK mids - Friday 13/03/15

1 - Madonna - 28,035

2 - Sam Smith - 25,980

3 - Ed Sheeran - 15,007

4 - Noel Gallagher - 14,816

5 - George Ezra - 10,572

That's very unfortunate for Madonna. No way she'll keep the number 1.
Looks like Sam Smith is going to do the double on Sunday :(
