I'm finding half of these sales incredibly hard to believe. If that's true Madonna only sold 1k yesterday and Sam some how managed to sell 10k, his biggest of the entire week.

Does that not set alarm bells off? I'm starting to believe data is missing afterall.

Sam Smith has been very high on iTunes, TWO of his albums are ahead of Madonna's.

But still are we seriously expected to believe she sold only 1k yesterday.

Whats even the source for this?

I managed to find the source for those stats :D

But that's also a forum  and the poster has only 000s of posts, so I doubt this is reliable

I'd stay safe and disregard those sales tbh :)

It's possible something on here, perhaps a video explains the sales but I haven't checked.

I'd much prefer 'GDFR' was number one over 'Lay Me Down' no that I know what the Flo Rida song is. I'd heard it in a few clubs a while ago and wondered what it was, now I know and I really liked it!

She's getting no airplay and hasn't done any promo apart from the Brits fall a few weeks ago. Madonna's sales were always going to be mostly from dedicated fans. Without airplay, most people won't realise she has a new album out. Her ITV special on Jonathan Ross will see the album not freefall in its second week though, which is something that would have been a big possibility with Madonna.

I suspected they were fake. Thanks.

Her position on the various online charts means she must have sold at least 500 copies online. So if you think she some how only sold 500 copies of the CD in shops then seriously you can see that makes little sense?

It's advertised a lot on ITV1, mainly early, during GMB.

However looking at that other link with the table on postimg.org it is possible they could be correct, but I don't know if we'll ever find out (unless some emails OCC to check or something )

And we can't check if the 'yesterday' sales are correct since we didn't even get an update yesterday

That's photoshop. I'm not believing anything else now until the OCC confirm it. Too many unofficial figures floating around which have no direct source.

Those sales look a bit fake where are the album titles  and there is a big sales gap between 9 and 10, Blue only sold 627 copies, surely that can't be right  and the info is not correctly presented in spreadsheet format. Somebody has a lot of free time on their hands.
I really would be delighted if Blue can keep hold of their top 10 position, as their last album failed to reach the top 10.
The top ten chart posted on PopJustice, however, looks realistic.

Do you have a link for this one?

I'm certain Sam will be number 1 album even if those sales look fake. Alas, that's Mothers Day for you.

I think Sam will end up roughly 2,000 ahead of Madonna sadly.

I agree, I wouldn't be surprised if he sold about 10k+ post comic relief.
