September 3, 20159 yr I can only find the one CD for it, with the album version and 4 remixes. I'm not sure why it had such huge sales, obviously the late 90s were known for big first week sales but I can only assume Madonna was still riding high on the success of Evita. Yes there was only one CD if I recall correctly. It had such high sales in part as it was heralded as a "return to form" getting near universal positive reviews pre release and it was a very striking image that she came back coupled with the fact that she actually bothered to promote it properly. Between 1984 and 1995 she never bothered to do TOTP for example and was on UK TV quite rarely relying on MTV, Radio. the tabloid press, and her videos to promote her work. Radio had not really supported her since the "Erotica" era had been deemed to be a step too far in many people's view and it did damage her career in the immediate aftermath, "Evita" was a step back into the mainstream but was still essentially a film soundtrack, it was "Ray of Light" that was her return to "pop" music, it thusly felt like her first album where the music was the most important element to the album rather than Madonna if that made sense. She was on TOTP, national lottery live and few other things that week all of which really helped. Here ends my potted history of her career :D
September 5, 20159 yr Madonna did not perform frozen on TOTP She performed on the national lottery show, the single had a making the video special and there was other MTV specials around the time of the album release. I can remember she wanted to do the Brit awards and they told her she was not welcome.
