The 2016 charts could RE-REWIND to the early days of garage as

noughties golden boy Craig David is rumoured to be collaborating with X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on her upcoming album.

 

The unlikely musical union comes after Chez , 32, got chatting with uber producer and singer Craig, 34, at the X Factor final last month when he performed with her act Reggie ‘n’ Bollie.

 

Their surprise medley, including his hit Re-Rewind, sent the audience wild. Craig’s comeback stole the show, with host Caroline Flack describing it as “one of my favourite TV moments”.

 

We can reveal that Cheryl and Craig got chatting backstage - planting the seed to work together. Now it seems very likely that they could be headed into the studio for a writing session in the near future as she starts work on her latest record.

 

An insider tells 3am: “Cheryl and Craig are fans of each other’s work. Cheryl listened to Craig’s earlier work as a teenager and also likes his new material. He’s keen to help write a track for her as the timing is perfect for both of them musically – and they both have plenty of ideas.”

That would be great as I'd love her to return to the R&B sound of her first album, but as 95% of the collaborations she's been rumoured to make, it's most probably fake. :(

So Cheryl is "reuniting" with Mariano Vivanco, who did the photoshoot of the last album !

It could be for anything but I hope it is for a new album cover :wub:

That was unexpected I thought she'd stay!

She really did lose her spark a bit though, she just didn't seem as invested. On her first three years on the show, she kind of took the spotlight in every episode, but she felt kind of in the background last year (and I didn't watch the year before).

Its great news she has quit. I just cant take to her on X Factor at all as she does not come across in any way genuine.

if it means we get another A Million Lights era I'm game. Was a massive shock though, as I thought she would be on the show till the end now. Glad she's still friends with Simon though so we can still nab a promo spot.

I guess her aim for the future is to become more of a Kylie Minogue than a Sharon Osborne. So far she has managed to be both a successful recording artist and a TV personnality, but I'm glad she focusing on her music career rather than TV, she is a performer above all.
