Ok, please tell me how a show that gives unknown wannabe singers a chance to sing live weekly and to win a £1m recording contract is the same as a show in which D list celebs prance about with their dancing partners to win a trophy?

 

The 3 judges and the fact that the viewers vote off an act once a week are the only things remotely the same about X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing.

 

Also - i'd pick Kate Thornton over that shrivelled up prune known as 'Brucey' any day.

I mean they're the same in terms of format and the point of them - entertainment. They're both made to create the same effect, and as such, are similar ... the content does differ slightly.

 

Sorry, but I lost faith in X Factor when Maria went ... then again when Brenda went .. and then once again when Shayne won. While I'm on the topic, it should also be re-named The Simon Cowell Show .. it's all about him, not the talent, at least in these early stages.

After last years X-Factor Series 2 farce, where the best two singers (Maria & Brenda) failed to make the final three & the "West-lite" contestant - Shayne Ward won, I'll be boycotting that show & watching SCD instead.

XFactor for me all the way, although SCD does have a good cast this year..

I wasn't trying to be bitchy in my response there btw ^^ I was just saying, if you don't wanna watch it you don't have to ... but there's no need to come in here and reel off everything that's wrong with it :D
