MTV have tweeted today to confirm that the new series starts on 28th March :cheer:

Geordie Shore special of Release the Hounds is on Thursday night on ITV2 and will feature Marnie, Nathan and Chloe taking part

Starts tomorrow. Didn't realise Sophie was returning again!

 

The cast have suggested/confirmed that Charlotte will be returning to the series. I hope this is true :cheer:

Just caught up on the first episode and although I am still tuning in, it does feel the show has lost its magic. It's hard to enjoy when everything feels SO manufactured now, who refers to someone as 'my BEST FRIEND Sarah' or 'my COUSIN Sophie' three times in one night :lol: I think I just watch now because the boys are rly hot and Chloe occasionally says something funny... Zahida seems like she could be a fun mess though so I hope they do choose to keep her!

You are right, you can definitely tell it's all forced/scripted more so than you used to be able to, but it has its moments still! That fight between Chloe and Zahida was a laugh :lol:

I don't really like any of the newbies aside from Zahida (she was fab on Ex on the Beach too) so I really hope she is chosen! The rest are all kind of irritating, that Abbie is so desperate to be on the show, she's even outright saying she'd do anything to be a part of the Geordie team and basically everything she says is a catchphrase already created by someone else in the cast :lol: Billy seems like an idiot (at least the current boys have a bit of heart) and Eve seems sweet but doesn't really seem a good match for the show. Excited fo see what the new Italian girl is like though !!

 

They do need some fresh blood though because even the oldies are becoming unlikable now, Sophie is very immature and I used to love her back in the day and Gaz just seems too old to be there now :lol: I think Aaron or Marty may be my favourite currently.

Is this the show that mentioned anal bleaching? Ew.

Wasn't aware of anyone else joining but I absolutely love Elettra, she is exactly what the show needs :lol:

I pretty much feel like Zahida, Sarah and Abbie were always in sight to be the new cast members and the rest were just there as filler, but I'm gutted about Sam being given the boot!

Series 15 starts on August 29th! :D

Oh wow, I thought that had already been on TV, can't believe it hasn't aired yet!

I used to love this show but yeah it just seriously lost its magic.

 

It’s funny now that when the cast members go out around Newcastle now nobody even cares we used to go crazy for them a few years ago.

 

Amelia doing this show though is surprising!

I used to love it too but it kinda lost momentum after Vicky left tbh, it stayed decent for a few seasons but basically once Marnie & Aaron had left on top of just losing Gaz it was just like “eh who cares anymore”.

It’s one of those shows where in the beginning it was great fun different etc. But it’s just the same old same old now but with more of a scripted feel to it.

 

Where the likes of TOWIE and Made In Chelsea have also gone down hill there’s enough difference on those shows where as GS they all live together as well so we only really see the worst of them but it gets bland after a while.

So for anyone still watching, the current series started last month which was filmed in the early summer where clubs were still closed. The producers have angled a Love Island type series where several single people are entering and leaving the house to have dates and form relationships with the current cast. Beau has left the series whilst

returns in episode 4. Amelia is absent from episode 1 as she was still touring with S Club at the time.

I've somehow fallen behind on GS but that sounds awful, probably won't bother getting caught up.

I started losing interest when they threw in Tahlia, Beau and Natalie with random useless appearances by Scottie T. With the right cast this show can be mint, but the newbies aren't doing it for me.
