Here we go again risking it all and sending indie pop by an act with a horrible BJSC track record… in an attempt to make lemonade out of lemons. It’s something that we can only describe as a Twenty One Pilots song if it was sung by Kylie Minogue.

It's a smash Cody, for sure, very slinky and sultry, like I said in the other thread, it could quite easily be a cut from Kylie's Body Language.

 

I don't follow PJSC so didn't know it but if it was a winner there then I can't imagine it won't do very well here, especially if lots of BJ posters are charting it already.

This entry will mark the end of the Rising chapter. This chapter was more focused on redemption and finding our feet after low points. Still proving ourselves but in a different way. What could come next? The world may never know. In terms of entry, I have an artist but not entirely sure on what song. Do we go with a Depeche Mode styled power bomb or do we go with something a little more melodramatic?

Next contest: Oh well who knows Nonô was a potential that ended up beating us by a long shot, adding to a long list of mistakes that we've made this year alone, so we need this time to recharge and rethink our strategies bc an internal selection ain't working a pop entry seems to be the most likely in the cards. Very bittersweet. It's not the smash hit "Mad Man" was which hurts a LOT, but it's also miles ahead of the complete flop we expected from this. Starting off the year with a non-hit is never ideal, but it exceeded expectations for all it's worth. It did okay, but it always hurts to know you could have done better in different circumstances.
