Trevor & Simon - Hands Up

Peak: 12

Chart Run: 12-25-37-45-62-(x)-95-89-95 (8 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: I recognise the instrumental of this but I can't find any information about this song anywhere. This must be the most obscure one hit wonder ever.

Mikey Graham - You're My Angel

Peak: 13

Chart Run: 13-34-57-68-71-(x)-85 (6 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: You Could Be My Everything (#62)

Commentary: Boyzone member so I don't have high hopes for this. Not as bad as I was expecting but it does just sounds like a generic boy-band song with a bit more guitar.

Buffalo G - We're Really Saying Something

Peak: 17

Chart Run: 17-40-59-(x)-74-(x)-100-88 (6 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: This is by far the worst song so far. Like the female version of PJ & Duncan but much, much worse. Thank God they did not have another hit.

Chart Run: 7-12-19-33-47-62-58-58-(x)-69-55-87 (12 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: Another garage track. Was really enjoying this until the pointless incomprehensible rap section. Completely ruined the mood of the song.

2nd Highest Hit: Somebody (#37)

Commentary: Doesn't sound like a number one at all. It sounds more like a song you would hear nowadays than in 2000.

Girl Thing - Last One Standing

Peak: 08

Chart Run: 8-19-28-35-39-40-50-71-77-83-65-67 (12 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Girls On Top (#25)

Commentary: I think the problem for them was that they think they are a zero hit wonder. :kink: Simon Cowell's band to rival Spice Girls didn't really work out. Ended up of Big Reunion 2013. Not too sure on the 'To Be Continued' ending.

Chart Run: 8-19-26-33-41-57-74-(x)-87 (8 weeks)

Commentary: By far the best song for a while. Sounds like it would be great to listen to in the sun.

Peak: 11

Chart Run: 11-22-27-31-36-47-63-75 (8 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: This is one I sang a lot during my childhood without realising who it was by. Might or might not be featuring again pretty soon as a member of The Wu-Tang Clan.

2nd Highest Hit: Better Believe It (Children In Need) (#60)

Commentary: Whoever the rapper is in this he doesn't get a credit. Rickyyyyyy off EastEnders once tried to be a pop star and it failed, miserably. It's never a good idea to start your career on a cover, unless you've won a singing talent competition.

Peak: 18

Chart Run: 18-38-44-62-67-(x)-98 (6 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Everything (#21)

Commentary: This sounds like a McFly album track. And the video is quite similar to 5 Colours.... They should sue McFly really.

Marc Et Claude - I Need Your Lovin' (Like The Sunshine)

Peak: 12

Chart Run: 12-20-27-39-50-63-73-(x)-86-95 (9 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: La (23)

Commentary: Wikipedia tells me they are a German duo. A suprisingly high amount of acts in this countdown seem to be German. This is a decent song but doesn't do enough to stand out.

Storm - Time To Burn

Peak: 03

Chart Run: 3-6-8-9-13-21-32-37-49-66-(x)-96-94-(x)-96 (13 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Storm Animal (#21)

Commentary: Another German duo. The video is of 2 Asian women boxers. Not sure what that's go to do with the song but ok. I don't know how this became such a hit as it sounds like a lot of the other milder hits that have already went in this countdown.

Spiller ft Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)

2nd Highest Hit: Cry Baby (#40)

Commentary: The first massive song in this countdown. I've never been a massive fan of this but I do like it and it has became a classic. Fun trivia: This was the first ever song to be played on an iPod.

Element Four - Big Brother UK Tv Theme

Peak: 04

Chart Run: 4-8-9-15-26-38-55-73-74-(x)-87-87-88-(x)-96-(x)-100-(x)-63-75 (16 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: I used to love Big Brother when I was younger. Now I'm pretty give or take on it. The series with Nicki or with Halfwit are among my favourite moment of television. The theme song is memorable but I think its legacy through the show overshadows its musical appeal for me. I would never hear it and not think of watching Big Brother on TV.

Commentary: I'd only ever heard the Sugababes version of this. I prefer this version to be honest. However, unpopular opinion, I've never really liked Sugababes, although I did see them perform at some Children In Need thing I went to for free thanks to my Dad's work sponsoring it.

Edit: ACTUALLY NOT A ONE HIT WONDER. WHOOPS :kink:
