Kandi - Don't Think I'm Not

Peak: 09

Chart Run: 9-9-13-19-23-29-35-36-36-53 (10 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Speed N/A

Commentary: The verses are decent on this track but the chorus is weak. I don't get the concept of this song; Don't think you're not what?

Rating: 7/10

I used to wonder, but over time I realised what she means is don't think she's not doing the same thing he is when he's out cheating and having fun, instead of being stuck at home worrying about it. :P

I do quite like that Kandi track to be honest, even if I had absolutely no idea what it was about until now.

Ah makes sense. She needs to put more emphasis on the 'I'm'

Rui Da Silva ft Cassandra - Touch Me

Peak: 01

Chart Run: 1-2-2-4-10-15-21-32-36-47-61-56-57-57 (14 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: A bit of a classic here. The beat is simple but the vocals take it to another level. Doesn't sound like a number one but I'm glad it managed it.

Peak: 13

Chart Run: 13-22-35-43-63 (6 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Like This Like That (#21)

Commentary: I was enjoying this until the vocal kicked in. This would work so much better as an instrumental. Fortunately the vocals were only a part for less than a minute.

Commentary: I never knew dance music was so prominent in the early 2000's. This is a very enjoyable listen. This is one I think I'm probably going to go back to.

Commentary: This is some weird hybrid of cheesy pop and garage. Doesn't quite work for me.

Safri Duo - Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song)

Peak: 06

Chart Run: 6-11-14-19-27-33-43-66-73 (9 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Sweet Freedom (#54)

Commentary: Not enough dance singles use bongos. This does scream one-hit wonder. Some trivia: This is Doncaster Rovers's walk out-music. It also won the very prestigious award of 'Danish Club Hit Of The Year 2001'. Well done guys.

2nd Highest Hit: Course Bruv (#39)

Commentary: Feels like a slightly worse So Solid Crew. The hook is a bit week but the rest is alright.

B.O.N. - Boys

Peak: 15

Chart Run: 15-26-36-50-62-(x)-100-99-99 (8 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: This manages to include so many music video clichés. The song is ok but I imagine it was the video that made it popular. Fact: They named their album B.O.N. In The USA

2nd Highest Hit: Overload (#30)

Commentary: This is growing on me throughout the song. I'd written it off after the first minute but now in minute seven I'm loving it. It's not the best so far but it's of a higher quality than most.

I really love Blood Is Pumpin', though I prefer the radio edit of that actually, such an energetic song!

Chase the Sun is great too

Girls@Play - Airhead

Peak: 18

Chart Run: 18-25-38-51-71 (5 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Respectable (#29)

Commentary: The good run was always going to end at some point. The 2nd (and somehow not last) actor from Eastenders to appear. This time Roxy. This group is just a female copy of the Village People. Something no-one asked for.
