Dirt Devils - The Drill

Peak: 15

Chart Run: 15-21-27-42-63-68 (6 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Music Is Life (#53)

Commentary: This doesn't stand out from any of the other trance records so far. Apparently, Dirt Devils are better known as Above & Beyond who had a #12 album earlier this year.

Commentary: A bit of a dance classic here. I enjoy this every time I hear it but I wouldn't actively try to listen to it.

Princess Superstar - Bad Babysitter

Peak: 11

Chart Run: 11-17-25-32-38-48-68 (7 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: Controversial inclusion but the OCC don't credit her on Perfect (Exceeder) so here she is. This is pretty dreadful and nowhere near as good as said other track. The only thing that saves this from being a lower score is the novelty factor.

Distant Soundz - Time After Time

Peak: 20

Chart Run: 20-33-38-49 (4 weeks)

Commentary: This is a very enjoyable listen. A garage cover of a Cyndi Lauper song doesn't sound well on paper but came together quite well in this track.

Rik Waller - I Will Always Love You

Peak: 06

Chart Run: 6-11-16-38-61-68-(x)-67-52 (8 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Something Inside (So Strong) (#25)

Commentary: What's the point of starting your career with a cover when you didn't win the talent show? It really does just sound like the average Pop Factor/X Factor winner's single which compulsory dramatic key change. The actual song is sang well but this was a pointless release really.

Commentary: Lethal Bizzle is one of my favourite artists of all time. I don't think he's the best lyricist or performer but he consistently makes music that makes you pumped. This however is one of my least favourites of his but it's still a decent tune. One I can't imagine is very popular on here. Pow (Forward) should have been the top 10

Commentary: This would have worked better as an instrumental track. The repeated line of 'close cover' is irritating and unnecessary.

Commentary: Actually never heard this one before. I like Sacha Baron Cohen but I'm not much of a fan of Ali G. Borat is a much better character. The song isn't very good. Disappointing from Shaggy.

1 Giant Leap ft Maxi Jazz & Robbie Williams - My Culture

Chart Run: 9-11-15-30-41-65 (6 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Braided Hair (#78)

Commentary: I feel like this only became a hit due to the features. Maxi & Robbie's verses are both decent but the song does sound like a bit of a letdown. It feels like it could have been more.
