We know that Mollie has been recording in the studio with the writers from 'Not Giving Up' (hype) and she's apparently close to signing with a Major record label which is a very encouraging start!

What person with a sane mind would not want this!? I predict #1 for 25 weeks consecutively. (Or coming for a top 200 smash )

Yes!

Let's face it, she is the personality in The Saturdays and the one you're immediately drawn to when you see them together. Plus as she's such a wonderful human being, she;s due some good karma her way and this could be it!

I would say she's got the best chance alongside Rochelle (BarangBarangBarang) but it seems as if Rochelle is focusing on television right now (Imagine if Mollie performed on one of Rochelle's shows omg)
It would be quite ironic if the one most committed to the group had the big solo career.

Yes and no.

I think she will find some sort of success (by the group standards) at the start, but in the end, she "won't make it".

She's a decent singer, she can write songs, she can play guitar, she's not the most amazing dancer, but her little pop routines and gimmicks will do the trick, she's pretty, she's funny, she obviously got the best personnality out of the group, and she seems like a dedicated worker in general, so you can say that she got the minimum. However, she just isn't a superstar...but then there are plenty of solo artists that, well, just aren't at all either, so it shouldn't be that much of a problem at the start.

I would love to see her succeed a lot more because of how bad the group has been flopping recently than because it's, well, Mollie. She deserves a bit of success :kink:

Lol, no. I don't think any of them have a chance at this point, but Mollie really would have to have an undeniably brilliant song to even stand a remote chance. And even then it might not be enough.

I don't think 1/5th of The Saturdays is going to work if 5/5ths can't.

do you think mollie could turn water into wine?

could mollie go on bread roll patrol?

Do I think she would be a good solo artist given the right songs: Yes.

Do I think the radios would give her the time of day: Probably not.

She has the potential to be a successful solo star, or at least have one big hit, but sadly it won't happen however good the songs are. Radios wouldn't touch her :(
I don't think it's a fair assessment to say radio wouldn't touch her when we have no idea what sound shes going for.
Unfortunately, radio base what they playlist on profile rather than musical merit.
I think she could get her self a fan loved, critically overlooked at the time, then loved a few year later for some reason, but an ultimately a flop album in the vine of Come and Get It & Dignity.

So Bionic, basically.
