01. Glory (never thought she would outdo 'Blackout' or 'In The Zone, but she has. This completes her holy trinity. This wins because there is not a moment of dullness, and that's saying a lot for an album with 17 tracks)

09. Britney Jean

IT'S OFFICIAL. EVERY TRACK IS NOW FLAWLESS.

The Holy Trinity: In The Zone, Blackout and now Britney Jean.

I CAN'T FUNCTION. Thank you Britney, thank you Will.I.Am. I will never detest your presence ever again.

THERE IS NOT EVEN A GIF THAT CAN EXPLAIN HOW I FEEL. It is basically a mashup of everything Circus and FF tried to create as a whole, but a perfected version. Like how Circus was just f***ed up when it came to what actually made the album, and what was used as ITUNES bonus tracks (still upset). And how FF was void of that classic BRITNEY feel, while still solid, you can tell Brit's involvement was minimal.

New rate after 24hpurs of letting it soak:

Alien 9/10 -Brilliant opener to a brilliant album.

Work Bitch -10/10

Perfume -9/10 I appreciate it more in the context of the album.

It Should Be Easy -9.5 The vocoder works after the initial anger at it, and the beat is pretty delicious. It has that something BFB was missing.

Tik Tik Boom - 10/10 Brill. Basically everything drop dead tried to be beat wise, with that lessor rap bitch removed and replaced with the TI. Who may I add did a FANTASTIC job with his verse.

Bodyache - 10/10 Britney's solo version of Scream and Shout, but executed so much better.

Till It's Gone - 11/10 Just when I thought the best had passed... THIS FLAWLESS MASTERPIECE.

Passenger - 8.5/10 Chill and enjoyable. The weakest track on the album, IMO. Still lovely.

Chillin' With You - 9/10 JUST ADORABLE, and surprisingly complex with it's structure.

Don't Cry - 10/10 Her best slow jam since "everytime", BAR "Unusual You".

OVERALL: 9.5/10 GOD BLESS BRITNEY JEAN.

Howling!

That was pretty much the entire fanbase channeling an innate reaction to ANYTHING Britney.

Oh Tyler! Even I knew BJ was underwhelming and i REALLY wanted to like it.
#2 in the UK midweeks. It'll probably fall behind Frank, but it'll be her highest charting since Blackout. Real buzz around this release!
Say what you want about Britney Jean, but in the parts she contributed to she really did sound more engaged than she had done since In The Zone, Femme Fatale had a few bangers on it but she was a 100% robot on that album. Obviously the glimpse of a human we saw on Britney Jean has lead to what we now see in Glory, which is really good.

Neil!!!!!!

I was wrong. I'm sorry I misguided you. Was I drunk when I wrote that? 2013 was a hard year for me. It would have kept those scores if i didn't slowly realize it was mostly Myah Marie. I'm also a crazy mother f***ing Britney stan. I'm going to enjoy almost anything she releases on first listen, but even I can take off the stan shades after a couple listens.

That's why I did my updated scores for 'Glory' after my first freak out, but unlike BJ, the songs have only gotten better.

I'll admit when I've been dragged tho. You win this time. http://i1373.photobucket.com/albums/ag361/tylaaah1/Mobile%20Uploads/1FC8CF6F-D6A5-4A17-9914-21A56D45E449_zpsh5vxolod.gif

it's all about moon man and the deluxe trax

is moon man britneys ode to neil armstrong?

As subpar as BJ was you can't help but admit that "Til It's Gone" goes HARD

(+ "Bodyache" but that was after I got into Oliver Heldens)

I will submit my full review as well now that I've listen to album 4 days in a row...there are some growers definitely like What You Need and If I'm Dancing :o
I just read on another forum that carpool karaoke streams will go towards week one album streaming sales. Apparently it's been confirmed by billboard. Anyone heard anything about this?

HDD prediction is out:

Florida Georgia Line (BMLG) 140-150k SPS, 130-135k pure sales

Barbra Streisand (Columbia) 128-133k SPS, 125-130k pure sales

Britney Spears (RCA) 105-115k SPS, 90-95k pure sales

I hope VMAs can help her with a bit more than that. Not terrible, but SLIGHTLY disappointing.

I've been a Britney fan since the early days but this is the first album I haven't bought. Listened to the clips on iTunes quite a few times and I'm very disappointed. Man on the moon is an ok song but nothing else much clicks and the style is quite different. She has worked with different producers. Her voice doesn't sound great and suits more of a pop style song rather than RnB.

Her voice sounds amazing on this album IMO. The best I've heard it on an album and the songs are such high quality. There's about 9 singles on the album. Have you streamed it and listened to all of it including the bonus songs on the deluxe version?

No, I don't use streaming services. The clips on iTunes last about 90 secs which are a good indicator.

I'm just a bit surprised that's all considering you've bought every album. I guess it is a change from what she's done before. I just love what she's done now though. Maybe when songs get out onto you tube you can listen to more.

Oh well, to each their own. Some albums aren't for everyone.

I'm sure she's happy you still gave it a shot and that you'll hopefully be here for the next one.
