The reason other countries do so much better in Eurovision is because they aren't as snobby with it as us, credible artists never want to get involved. :( Sweden sent in an artist with current hits in their country. I WISH we could have someone like Hurts, too. :(

Indeed. Mans and Sanna, the two latest entrants, are pretty much Swedish singing ROYALTY nowadays. Not to mention huge acts constantly come back to the competition. Even here, in Russia, there's really no social stigma about participating in Eurovision. Polina is big here. There were also TATU, Serebro and Dima Bilan.

 

Brits are just stuck in that endless loop. No good artists to send -> bad position -> no good artists want to participate in Eurovision -> bad position -> etc. :(

I reckon Hurts would do really well at Eurovision.

 

I love this new song and think it's very summery and catchy. My husband walked behind me whilst I was listening to it though and said 'sounds a bit like Take That though, doesn't it?' <_<

Do you reckon it will actually end up as a hit now that there's a video? Such a shame if it doesn't as the video looks pretty expensive and it's their most radio-friendly song I think.
