Surprised at LTG for Carrie. A real sleeper hit there.

Surprised that "Sparks" by Hilary hasn't dented the charts at all. Maybe they shouldn't have scraped her original concept after all.

Chart Highlights
  • Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again" reclaims #1 on the Hot 100 after a one-week break. It's the song's seventh week on top; meanwhile, it spends a second week at #1 on Radio Songs and an eight week at #1 on Streaming Songs. Last week's #1, Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood", retreats to #2 after a sole week on top. As I said in last week's thread, both songs could go back and forth at #1 depending on how fast "Bad Blood" gains on airplay (and indeed it's Airplay Gainer once again) and how fast "See You Again" slips on sales. But going into next week, at least, it looks like Taylor will have to stay put as the runner-up.
  • Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!" re-enters the top 5, bringing its top-5 run to 25 weeks. That enables it to tie for the longest stay in the top 5; LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live" also spent 25 weeks in the region in 1997-98. Meanwhile, "Uptown Funk!" passes Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply" for the fifth-longest stay in the top 10, where it has spent 27 weeks (and counting). "How Do I Live" holds the record for the longest top-10 run at 32 weeks. Perhaps Mark will join LeAnn there as well.
  • Top 20: Three songs enter the top 20 this week. OMI's "Cheerleader" lifts 11 spots to #16 thanks to increasing sales; it's this week's Digital Gainer, blasting into the Digital Songs top 10 at #8. This week's Streaming Gainer, meanwhile, is Silento's "Watch Me", which rises to #19; it ranks at #6 on Streaming Songs. Remarkably, the song has had week-for-week gains in its 14 weeks on the Hot 100. Finally, The Weeknd's "The Hills" is this week's highest debut at #20, giving The Weeknd his third top-20 hit. It sold 109,000 downloads last week, good for a #5 debut on Digital Songs.
  • Further Down: Aside from "The Hills", three other songs enter the top-40 this week. Flying to #31 is Rich Homie Quan's "Flex (Ooh Ooh Ooh)", the rapper's third top-40 hit and first as a lead artist. Below Quan, Nicki Minaj adds a 33rd top-40 to her list as "The Night Is Still Young" jumps to #38. And at #40, Blake Shelton collects his 14th top-40 with "Sangria". Below the top 40, A$AP Rocky makes two debuts following the release of At.Long.Last.A$AP: "L$D" debuts at #62 and "Electric Body", which features ScHoolboy Q, debuts at #80.

It did actually. Sparks charted on the bubbling under chart on sales alone. The song hasnt been sent for pop radio for some odd reason.

I don't know, I kind of feel like radio wouldn't touch her after all this time even if they did, as much as I'd love to see it do something. :(

I guess stranger things have happened.
