We did a great job there for 80 minutes, but Middlesbrough getting that little piece of absolutely quality for the first goal there just as we did against Leeds last time out. I think we were too shellshocked then and let another in straight away! But still in 2nd place with the hardest fixture out of the way so hopefully we bounce back after FA cup week.

It just goes to show how close this season is when there is no clear "team winning everything". I mean the top three have all won one/lost one when playing the others.

Hull 3-0 Middlesbrough

Hull 0-2 Derby

Middlesbrough 2-0 Derby

Can't wait for the return fixtures, that'll be what sorts it out. You're at the advantage of both of them being home games!

We've already had the Middlesbrough return fixture, we drew 1-1 back in August I think! So hopefully the fact we have Middlesbrough completely out of the way now is a good thing for us :D

Oh I never realised that! I thought with them being close to Christmas they would have been towards the end of the season.

We'll just have to beat you at your place. B-)

Indeed! :heehee:

I hope we can rebound straight away after the break for the FA Cup, I just hope we don't go on a second half of the season slide again. I'm optimistic though as after our first loss we went a couple of months unbeaten and then again after the second loss. So hopefully the same will happen after this third defeat!

3-0 now, looks like we are going to suffer another major wobble then, let's just hope we can pick ourselves up before it is too late but that Middlesbrough loss seems to have really knocked us off our stride! I'm not confident though after what happened last season.

Mad day!

-Boro losing (great performance by Bristol to execute said feat)

-Derby losing (proud of Birmingham personally, we attacked with venom which has often been our failing point this season.)

G'WON BRISTOL!

GET THE f*** IN THERE! :yahoo:

Great performance. A change in formation (3-5-2 to a 4-3-3) seemed to work. Perhaps Steve Cotterill would still be here if he was more flexible.

Just seen thaT Derby's chairman has been going insane at the players. What an absolute joke and what a way to undermine the manager

Not sure I completely agree, I don't blame him considering he's invested over £100 million from what I've read in the last year or so and he is a local businessman so has genuine passion for the club. I'd rather that then one of these foreign investors that couldn't really care less and just wants to make a profit.

The first half performance yesterday was better than the Reading match too I believe so it seemed to have had some impact (he went in the dressing room following the Reading match, not sure if he did again yesterday), but I agree that it may have done long-term harm by not leaving Clement to sort it out.

OLIVER'S PREDICTED TABLE

Personally I don't think much is going to change this month as I reckon all five teams will get a similar amount of points. Obviously Middlesbrough's 2nd game in hand will be crucial, and although our games are TERRIBLE I think if we can win our home games we should get out of this month relatively unscathed. It could be the perfect month for the chasing pack to step up, but I see Burnley as the only ones doing that though given current form.

I honestly think Hull will struggle with more than 8 Points

Hull : 8 Points

Middlesbrough: 12 Points

Burnley: 8 Points

Brighton: 7 Points

Derby: 10 Points

I was basing it on winning our home games and getting draws away at Blackburn and Ipswich. I may be slightly optimistic but we have the best home record in the division so don't see why we can't win them.

I wouldn't rule out Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City in the hunt for a play-off place.
