Posted September 19, 200618 yr POP princess Kylie Minogue has found a unique way to thank some of the thousands of young fans who supported her during her cancer battle. Minogue has revealed she was inspired by drawings sent by fans and - now she is recovering from breast cancer - has decided to repay them. Some of the pictures have been used in her children's book Kylie: The Showgirl Princess, to be released in London on Thursday. Minogue began writing the book with boyfriend Olivier Martinez to take her mind off her illness. The beaming 38-year-old also stepped out in style in London yesterday, looking a picture of health as she partied with good friend Jake Shears - frontman for the Scissors Sisters - at a post-concert bash thrown by the outrageous US band. Minogue was taking time out from training for her gruelling Showgirl tour, which starts in November. Her preparations include a brand-new image which she debuted with a provocative photo shoot for a style magazine. "I didn't want everybody to think of her as a cancer survivor," shoot artistic director William Baker said. "I wanted to get away from this dark place, that image of the scarf, the hair. "I wanted people to remember how she is - strong and sexy." Yet while Minogue is heading in the right direction for a huge comeback she has told friends she will not push herself too hard. She even promised that if she tires during her high-energy concerts she will sit down and take a breather to ensure she finishes. Meanwhile, '60s icon Marianne Faithfull has started on the same ultra-healthy diet as Minogue as she battles her own breast cancer nightmare. Faithfull, 59, vowed she would stick to Minogue's eating plan of fruit and vegetables as well as seaweed and kale.
