When is the next update?

Whenever they are available, they are not 100% guaranteed everyday.

Thanks! Then will most likely leave tomorrow?

Even if so, it wouldn't make a difference long-term, as without chart inclusion, record companies would likely switch their big artists to Apple, and the big chart-slowing 'sales' would come from them instead.

I don't think record companies will leave Spotify if they aren't included in the chart. The record companies want money, and if Spotify is still making them millions, then they'll be happy.

it can't be a coincidence that Ministry of Sound only let their songs on Spotify when the charts changed to include streaming sales though ? if Spotify pull out then I wouldn't be surprised if MoS pull from Spotify

I think Spotify data is missing again. I don't think Sam Feldt would have held up at #2 over the weekend with people streaming Years & Years' new album at mass (with 'Shine' clearly being a big beneficiary there).

Is this a Communion joke or have things changed since I was last in church?

It could work that way I guess.

a considerable assemblage, number, or quantity:

a mass of errors; a mass of troops.

I laughed, if it helps. Then again, slightly laboured puns aside, you get the occasional C of E types who download Evensong as podcasts and the like. How modern and new fangled.

Got Top 5 sales for yesterday's update but Missing data from APPLE MUSIC for Monday, SPOTIFY for Saturday, Sunday (& Monday) its not worth posting, hopefully we get an updated version later that covers Fri - Tues later this afternoon/early evening.

Basically Spotify is up the creek again, the update will be a little bit meaningless. An updated version will be a lot better if all sales are included.

I'll do a top 5 sales update for yesterday. Give me a minute.

TUESDAY UPDATE (delayed from yesterday)

Singles

1) Little Mix - Black Magic (79.5k)

2) Sam Feldt / Kimberly Anne - (39.3k)

3) Years & Years - Shine (36.1k)

4) Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me (30.9k)

5) Avicii (30k) (90 sales ahead of #6)

Albums

1) Years & Years (42k)

2) Ed Sheeran (9.2k)

3) James Bay (8.5k)

4) Lionel (6.1k)

5) Taylor Swift (5.9k)

Good sales for Little Mix and Years and Years. Based on the sales information provided Ed Sheeran will regain his crown for the best selling album of the year to date.
It looks like Shine will go back to #2 by Friday.

Unless streaming is included and Lost Frequencies leap-frogs Sam and Years & Years.

I see Spotify is still struggling

Looks like people could only cope with one house weekend.

Technically no weekends :')
