Biography

One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) are an English-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. Previously, Zayn Malik was a member until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after forming and finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's four albums, Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013) and Four (2014) topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young", "Story of My Life" and "Steal My Girl".

Their achievements include five Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, eleven MTV Europe Music Awards, and nineteen Teen Choice Awards out of nineteen nominations, among many others. According to Nick Gatfield, the chairman and chief executive of Sony Music Entertainment UK, One Direction represented a $50 million business empire by June 2012. They were proclaimed 2012's "Top New Artist" by Billboard. According to the Sunday Times Rich List, by April 2013, they had an estimated personal combined wealth of £25 million ($41.2m) making them the second-wealthiest musicians in the UK under 30 years of age. In 2014, Forbes listed them the second-highest earning celebrities under 30, with the group earning an estimated $75 million from June 2013 to June 2014.

After the release of Four, One Direction became the first band in the U.S. Billboard 200 history to have their first four albums debut at number one. Their third album, Midnight Memories, was the biggest-selling album worldwide of 2013 despite being released in late November. In 2014, Billboard named One Direction Artist of the Year - Wikipedia

Drag Me Down  A fairly big drop but smaller than 5SOS had last year with She Looks So Perfect so that's not too bad, plus its drop of 8 places was the same as Steal My Girl's second week drop (3-11) last year if we're comparing ~
Whoa!!! What a huge drop!!!! Kinda reminds me of McFly days where they would chart high before plummeting heavily the next week.
One Direction's new song isn't bad, but not great either, and this sort of disastrous run is quite entertaining to see, so whoever's dragging them down, continue.
I've managed to avoid 'Drag Me Down' until now somehow! Unfortunately less Zayn meaning more Louis vocals, BUT this chorus is actually sounding very solid!
This is their most uneventful single ever
Oh my lord :drama: :drama: :drama:

What's the largest drop from #1 in the history of the UK charts?

1-20 for McFly, and an Elvis re-issue I think?

Fully expecting Drag Me Down to stabilise now, it's kept at #9 throughout all the midweeks and airplay is increasing, plus the video is expected within ~2 weeks.

Biography

Walk the Moon (often stylized as WALK THE MOON) is an American Indie rock band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lead singer Nicholas Petricca started the band in 2008 and went through several member changes before finally coming together with current members Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman in 2010. The band derives their name from the song "Walking on the Moon" by The Police. The group independently released their debut album, I Want! I Want!, in November 2010, receiving airplay for the track "Anna Sun" on multiple Alternative radio stations. In February 2011, Walk the Moon signed with Mick Management. They signed to RCA Records and released their first major label album, their second overall, the self-titled Walk the Moon, in June 2012. It is composed of many of their original tracks from I Want! I Want! as well as new tracks that were written specifically for the album and were meant to reflect the kind of energy the band produced in their live shows. In December 2014, the band released their second major-label studio album, Talking Is Hard. This album included their biggest hit to date, "Shut Up and Dance," which has so far charted at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached number 1 on Billboard's Rock Songs chart and Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.

SPIN Magazine has described them as a "poppy, art-rock quartet". They were also deemed a Nylon Magazine Band Crush for their "swirly pop beats, infectious guitar riffs, and loud, sing-a-long choruses." - Wikipedia

Union J last year went from 1-22 in sales!

Shut Up And Dance has gone from my favourite track to the song I'm really sick of and not liking that much anymore. :(
