Posted August 25, 20159 yr Avicii's second album 'Stories' is now set to be released in exactly a month from today! I am of course really hyped for it, but until then let's take a few moments to rate and appreciate his debut, 'True'. 'True' debuted at #2 in the official album chart, behind Arctic Monkeys 'AM', and off the back of 'Hey Brother's massive success re-peaked at #2 months later, being denied the top spot by Bombay Bicycle Club. It eventually spent 11 weeks in the top 10 and 33 weeks in the top 40 which is an amazing success for a dance music album. It also by the end of 2014 sold 336,500 units, enough for it to be certified platinum. The singles taken from it were highly successful too, with 'Wake Me Up' being a multi-week #1 and million-seller, and 'Hey Brother' peaking at #2. Other singles did well too, with 'You Make Me' peaking at #5 and 'Addicted To You' at #14. The only flop was 'Lay Me Down' which didn't make the top 100 and thus ended the 'True' era.
