September 6, 20159 yr I'm so tired of this bullshit, why can't I do the next one ? And why do you keep mentioning Lease My Love for no reason?
September 6, 20159 yr Author 61. For Myself p4seE23ugyM Score: 6.385 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (Totto) Lowest Score: 0 x 1 (Hurricane) Sure enough, For Myself is at #61 with an average of 6.385. This is the second On Your Radar track to go and I have mixed feelings about it. I really like the song and I think the vocals on it are solid but the chorus is sort of grating. It's one of the few songs of theirs where I actually prefer the verses. That's all from me for today, back to you Hurricane :friends:
September 6, 20159 yr The production is a bit shitty, I'll never understand why they even allow it to be on the album like that.
September 6, 20159 yr Ohhh I gave up on waiting for this. Great work so far, mods. No major casualties yet!
September 6, 20159 yr For Myself is flawless,as are Problem With Love and Anywhere With You so y'all haters can shush
September 6, 20159 yr I have to say I'm completely shocked at this one. Anywhere With You only manages #65 in the rate. Juliano must be devastated. Damn straight!
September 7, 20159 yr Author Hurricane is likely busy having a life so here's a little something to tide you guys over: 60. Gentleman F5luP09KWqA Score: 6.407 Highest Score: 10 x 3 (AdamAloud, Sean, Totto) Lowest Score: -1 x 1 (Johnkm) So Gentleman becomes the first single to leave the competition. Is anyone surprised? I'm not, but I really don't think Gentleman is THAT bad. Terrible single choice? Yes. Terrible song? Not really. It was just very out of left field for them after What About Us and we all know the impact it had on their career. Knowing that Living For The Weekend might've been a huge success had this not been released definitely leaves a bitter taste. I think the campaign started off on the wrong foot when the single cover was released and Vanessa's head looked inflated. We were then very confused by the music video as well. You'd think after years of making videos and having just had their first #1 they might've been able to use the green screens effectively. What a shame. Adam, Sean, and Totto see Gentleman for what it really is: A fun and quirky song that was never meant to be taken seriously. http://memecrunch.com/meme/YPAV/why-buy-the-cow-when-the-milk-is-free/image.png
September 7, 20159 yr Gentleman seems to be a marmeet track on here but I find it pretty catchy IMO :(
September 7, 20159 yr ARE YOU ALL READY FOR THIS NEW ELIMINATION? ... Which song do you want to see get eliminated HM? .... I guess I could say....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? .... CAN'T YOU WAIT FOR THE RESULTS? 59. I Can't Wait vJos7Z6klpk Score: 6,452 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (AdamAloud, Mackenzie, Martyn) Lowest Score: 3 x 2 (Zach, Aled) The b-side to 'Forever Is Over' is our next elimination! Released in August 2009 along with its A-Side, 'Forever Is Over', 'I Can't Wait' has, for the most part, gather more praise than its A-side ever did. I, personnally, couldn't disagree more. I've always found the song a bit lacklustre with only its middle-8 as its saving grace. Some of you seems to agree with me since it didn't manage to go any further than #59, but three of us gave away 10s to this little mid-tempo piece. What do you guys think of it?
September 7, 20159 yr Okay so this one really HURTS me... ... Can you guess which one it is? ... It's a b-side. It's also a cover.... It's from the first era! And I'm BEGGIN for this to be a nightmare.... 58. Beggin PdxKbNmJIEQ Score: 6,476 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (Hurricane) Lowest Score: 3 x 1 (Martyn) Here comes another b-side of the girls. This time, it's from their first era 'Chasing Lights'. Released along 'Issues' in January 2009, the girls actually performed this earlier as part of their Radio Live Lounge performance of 'Up' in October 2008. Frankie was absent during the performance, but the group managed to perform both their hit single 'Up' and this classic with a lot of class and style. Little fun fact, "Beggin'" was popularized by The Four Seasons in 1967, but it's only in 2007 that the song received new popularity when it was remixed by the French DJ Pilooski and then covered by the Norwegian hip-hop band Madcon. I think the girls' version has nothing to be ashamed about. Vanessa kills it! oyC1TNuBGr4
