September 9, 20159 yr Are people just going by the iTunes release date? Back when singles were released on Sundays, iTunes always used to show the release date as being the Friday before or something in regards to pre-orders so I'm guessing it's a similar situation here, because I definitely read that the Bond theme would premiere and be released on Friday 25th September. Ah that'd make sense then. Just did a quick search and the 25th is mentioned here so I'd imagine that's the case.
September 10, 20159 yr This is such a frightening prospect. I know! I just wish Adele had released hers properly then she would have got the first Bond number one as Skyfall is my fave theme track... I can't wait for Sam to do an Emeli Sande and just go away already :drama:
September 10, 20159 yr I'm expecting this to reach no1. Sam Smith is massive at the moment and with all the hype from the film its surely a future guaranteed number one single. I doubt it will be the biggest bond movie theme tune ever but saying that I've no idea how much the others have sold? I think Adele was very popular and sold quite a lot.

Adele's had the best selling Bond theme with probably over 800k by now. Surprisingly, the Bond themes haven't been *huge* sellers like most movie soundtrack songs. Second best seller is Duran Duran's 'A View to a Kill' which has almost sold half a million. The rest are mostly between 100k-250k.
September 10, 20159 yr Little Mix release their next song on Friday 25th so that means Sam Smith has no chance of getting #1 now
September 10, 20159 yr Funny how the Bond themes are generally met with such huge hype and then very few people actually buy them.
September 10, 20159 yr Little Mix release their next song on Friday 25th so that means Sam Smith has no chance of getting #1 now I know Little Mix are very popular, but surely a Sam Smith Bond song would be just as big, if not bigger? Edited September 10, 20159 yr by Joe.
September 10, 20159 yr Author Little Mix release their next song on Friday 25th so that means Sam Smith has no chance of getting #1 now Let's not forget that they've had second singles not hit #1 before.
September 10, 20159 yr Little Mix release their next song on Friday 25th so that means Sam Smith has no chance of getting #1 now Based on what exactly
September 10, 20159 yr I know Little Mix are very popular, but surely a Sam Smith Bond song would be just as big, if not bigger? Maybe Little Mix/Sam Smith will do a Tinie Tempah/Lost Frequencies
September 10, 20159 yr Based on what exactly  Based on the fact that Little Mix will have a whole 7 days to chart whereas Sam Smith will only have 4
September 10, 20159 yr Too late for this to be considered then... 4Z_-GRUpg_o The Spectre Skank. Jokes
