During a radio interview, O'G3NE confirmed that they would compete in the Eurovision Song Contest if they were asked.
The girls previously represented The Netherlands in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest as Lisa, Amy & Shelly and recently won The Voice of Holland.

I love these girls but they're gonna need better songs if they want to stand a chance.

If rumour has it right, then the Netherlands’ AVROTROS will reveal its Eurovision 2016 representative in October.

Dutch Eurovision expert Richard Crommert posted a tweet last night suggesting as much. If true, the announcement would come earlier than in recent years. Last year AVROTROS announced Trijntje as its contestant on November 10, and the year before it revealed the Common Linnets on November 25.

"Rumour has it next month the entrant of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed. Name of the person was rumoured last year as well.

Alain Clark/Dotan/Caro Emerald? :o

Alain Clark/Dotan/Caro Emerald? :o

Dotan would be a good candidate or someone like Douwe Bob.

omg it can't get any more boring and middle of the road than f***ing Dotan. I would rather have Trijntje again.

Douwe Bob would be better. Or Within Temptation

I have no idea who or what a Dotan is.

Sorted that top post out, thanks for leaving it free Tim!

I thought O'G3NE would be contenders ever since I found out about the Junior Eurovision connection, but it doesn't sound like they've been asked yet and if they are making an October announcement I'd assume they'd have sorted an agreement with somebody by now. This Dotan name keeps popping up, I don't know him but I wouldn't be surprised if it was him.

I'm glad they aren't abandoning the internal selections after Trijnjte's DNQ as the turnaround in Dutch entries recently has been fantastic!

O'G3NE are interesting from what I've heard, Caro would be AMAZING though <3 Especially after we tried and failed to emulate her style with bloody Electro Velvet

Just listening to Dotan's 'Home' and it's great, this sort of sound would stand out brilliantly in a Eurovision context and I feel like something like 'Home' could definitely have the potential to do a Common Linnets. I really want him to be selected now, reminds me a little of Hozier! :o

ESC Forum are now saying there are some sources saying it is this guy:

I like that song so could be a good choice if true!

Dutch media is also reporting Douwe Bob but Jan Smit the dutch host denies it.

I hate Douwe. As far as I know he's had 0 good songs

Who the f*** is Douwe Bob !? Who are all those people.

That song above from him sounds really good, but Douwe is no name for a person. An old classmate's name was Douwe poor kid.

I wonder when we'll hear the song, a September artist announcement is very early - even for The Netherlands!

Apparently they said on the show that the song is uptempo and not a ballad, I wonder if it'll be a sign of things to come with this year's winner being an uptempo.

Jan Smit denied it and he also did a similar thing with Anouk. I think he's low-key hating.

It's interesting, never even heard of Douwe. At least he's not the joke The Netherlands dared to enter a few years back, a couple of jokes actually.
