October 1, 201510 yr Oh yay so it's likely that Walk the Moon or Macklemore will round out the top 10 this week, don't know which would be worse news :drama: Especially when the likes of Rudimental, Little Mix (and maybe Naughty Boy again) will be struggling to get in. :(
October 1, 201510 yr I'd say Body On Me underperformed though? I was expecting that to go top 20 at least in the long run. I wonder if it would have done better if it weren't for Do It Again, as both feature Chris Brown. I doubt it, the only difference it would have made is it would have peaked at #21 instead.
October 1, 201510 yr I've update Joe's post (thanks for posting in the first place!) and added full sales that Music Week gave. FYI, Sam Smith was the 3rd best selling single yesterday - he's selling at a rate of 5.5k whereas Bieber is selling 6.5k and R City is selling 5.8k. Similarly in the albums, Disclosure were the 3rd best selling album yesterday. They sold 2.1k, New Order sold 2.3k and David Gilmour sold 3.1k. Disclosure have 7 songs in the chart, all from their recent album. Omi: #31 Rita: #36 Why Gilmour's album is so stable?i thought that it will be free fall.

I wouldn't say it underperformed, it feels like a bigger hit than Poison ever was to me which seemed to come and go within the space of a month whereas this is still going pretty strong after two months. I'm not sure how they compare on sales but I guess Body On Me's sales won't be too dissimilar to Poison's by the time Body On Me runs out of steam but I bet quite a few people will scream that Body On Me was a flop just because of it's much lower peak position and this is what we need to stop doing.
