September 30, 201510 yr It seems like they're really getting the stars "of the moment" to do the Bond themes lately though (well at least for the last two).

September 30, 201510 yr Little Mix flopping! For now it is but it won't be in the long run :P *they Edited September 30, 201510 yr by Rob S
September 30, 201510 yr Where's Lana please  #14 with 6k, she's selling loads more than #15+ so won't fall any lower than that and might gain a couple of places.
September 30, 201510 yr I wish people would stop saying OA/OS singles are flopping just because they don't enter as high the first week as they otherwise would
September 30, 201510 yr I've update Joe's post (thanks for posting in the first place!) and added full sales that Music Week gave. FYI, Sam Smith was the 3rd best selling single yesterday - he's selling at a rate of 5.5k whereas Bieber is selling 6.5k and R City is selling 5.8k. Similarly in the albums, Disclosure were the 3rd best selling album yesterday. They sold 2.1k, New Order sold 2.3k and David Gilmour sold 3.1k. Disclosure have 7 songs in the chart, all from their recent album. Cheerleader and Body On Me please? :P Omi: #31 Rita: #36
September 30, 201510 yr If there's loads of streaming data missing then it's a lot more closer between Sam Smith and Bieber then latest mids suggest
September 30, 201510 yr Yeah we really need to start looking at our charts the way Americans do. Worth It was one of the biggest songs of the summer in the US I believe, yet it didn't even peak top 10. As soon as a song doesn't peak top 10 here we are screaming flop! Without an X Factor performance, I doubt Love Me Like You will peak top 10 but that doesn't mean it has underperformed. We have to consider it is much more difficult to break into the top 10 as the charts are much slower and less manipulated - just like in the US. We need to make top 40 the new top 10. Hailee's Love Myself has peaked at #30 in the US, which is lower than Foxes' Body Talk for example however while Body Talk suffered a wave of negativity, Love Myself is considered a pretty major success. Of course I'm not taking into account Body Talk's poor chart run which wasn't good, but even after Body Talk's first week and #25 peak everyone was screaming disaster and if Love Me Like You ends up at #25 on Friday, more people will probably do the same again. So yeah, we need to make top 30/40 the new top 10 and accept there will be less songs reaching the top 10. Love Me Like You more than likely won't go top 10 (bar big performances which then it might) and will probably end up with a 'Body On Me' style chart run, but we need to praise the fact that it's going top 25 as that needs to be considered a success now.
October 1, 201510 yr I'd say Body On Me underperformed though? I was expecting that to go top 20 at least in the long run. I wonder if it would have done better if it weren't for Do It Again, as both feature Chris Brown.
