October 5, 20159 yr I hope that is just a placeholder I'm still adoring Shake That, but I got a feeling this is going to be a slower song she can perform on the X Factor (2.19 tho, aint that super expensive?) Edited October 5, 20159 yr by *Tim
October 5, 20159 yr Still no album news? If Ricki-Lee could get her most recent album released, why can't Samantha Jade?
October 5, 20159 yr Didn't she say that Shake That won't be on the album? And it would be released after the 2nd single. Aka not ever. 6th of November m, hopefully X Factor will still be on at that point.
October 6, 20159 yr This article states that her new album is called Nine and will be released digitally November 20: http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/samantha-jade-nine/
October 6, 20159 yr The above is not the official cover image. Also job hifi have a physical release for this with a TBA b-side.
October 21, 20159 yr Author The song is not on iTunes and Sanity anymore. Another Sony mess.... Edited October 21, 20159 yr by johnnyorfino
October 21, 20159 yr If they pull the album too.... It's quite frustrating she's joined Home & Away too, so we won't get anymore music for the forseeable. I get that acting is a dream of hers but it's a shame and waste of her musical talent that she's won X Factor and now is just gonna act on Home & Away!
October 21, 20159 yr Even if they just stick all the singles from Firestarter to Shake That and five or six new songs that they will have in the bag and just shove it out there. Sony Australia obviously don't want her, but I don't think they want anyone else to have her. With the right song and the right backing Samantha Jade could be a worldwide star.
October 22, 20159 yr Still listed as Nov 6 on JB HiFi. What on earth is happening? Can't see why they'd pull it when she can finally promote it on X Factor.
October 23, 20159 yr Author There's no way to me they would cancel the album release on november 20th. Nathaniel was able to release his debut album even with his latest two singles bombing harder than Sweet Talk and Shake That. There's no doubt that even if she's underperforming right now, she has a little selling power as proven with the first week of sales of her latest 2 singles. What she is missing is longevity and longevity can only be provided if if you keep your name out her (aka doing promo). And the end of the year is literrally the only time of the year when there is a lot of shows where you can promote on. People say that she will perform during the finale of the x factor on november 24th, then there is the ARIA Awards (where she can maybe get a slot) and she's the ambassador of this year Carols in the domain. Add to that the christmas sales and she may actually at least go gold with her album. Pushing back the album now would be a even bigger mistake than making us wait 3 years just to get her first original album. For whatever reason, Sony doesn't like to release a new single as soon as the previous one underperformed. There's always a 6 to 8 months gap with them. So that's why i was not surprised they canceled Always. I actually found it weird back then that they would release a new single only 3 months after Shake That. Definitely not their type to do that.
October 23, 20159 yr But why would they release an album without a single tho? Surely the album is pushed back to 2016 as well
October 23, 20159 yr Author ^ Shake That underperformed so much that it's almost like the single never existed so if she's performing the song on X Factor, it would be almost like she's launching a new single in the public eyes.
