Samantha Jade second album is called “Nine”, Available November 20th!

“Nine” (previously known as “Angel“) is the upcoming and highly anticipated second studio album by Australian singer-songwriter and The X Factor winner Samantha Jade. It’s scheduled to be released on digital retailers on November 20th via Sony Music Entertainment.

It comes preceded by the promotioanl singles: “Firestarter“ and “Soldier“, released in 2013, plus the promotional track “Up!“, main theme of Australian National Men’s Football Team The Socceroos.

The fourth overall and proper lead single from the album “Sweet Talk“ was released on November 18, 2014. The second official single, the Pitbull-assisted track “Shake That“, was released on 17 July 2015.

The next and third official single from the album is the upcoming track “Always“, which is scheduled to be released on November 6th.

Samantha has written with the likes of Ne-Yo, The Rascals, The Fliptones, MDL, Tom Meredith and DNA for the new studio including a total of 12 tracks.

So, it looks like I'll have to purchase another Australian iTunes card just to get a copy.

All of her singles so far have been dumped onto UK iTunes so I suspect the album will be too.

So they have done what I thought they would and chucked all the singles onto the album, so we will only get 6 new tracks. With Samsntha now joined Home and Away I get the feeling this is for-filling a contract and dropped release unfortunately :(

Yes, I forgot that her singles have all been released on other countries' iTunes also, hopefully the album will be as well. Well, at least she has another career to fall back on, she deserves more musical success though.

Is it actually confirmed anything pre Sweet Talk will be on the album?

Didn't she start the recording process again?

I am literally so excited, I loved Samantha!

They called Firestarter, Soldier and Up! "promo singles" so singles to promote the album so for me these songs will definitely be on the album as bonus tracks or not.

Hopefully out of the 12 songs we will get Sweet Talk, Shake That, Always and 9 new tracks and not Firestarter, Soldier, Up!, Sweet Talk, Shake That, Always and only 6 new tracks.

This album really is a collection of flops  (good flops though as I love all the tracks  )
With an XF perf she could get a decent (like, maybe top 20?) peak with Always if it's a good song. Jess Mauboy went 75-8 from an X Factor performance when This Ain't Love initially tanked a bit for example, it's great promo. Finally getting a date is great, THREE years after she actually won X Factor!!

Always has been pushed back to 2016 so if she performs on X Factor, she wont be promoting this song.

Shake That revenge is maybe coming :cheer:

Is the album still getting released though?

From David Fuller on Facebook:

If you click on the link to the to the Adelaide Carols it talks about the Album "Nine" quite a fair bit. It mentions that the album has eleven new songs on offer, whereas the Sanity website mentioned 12 songs. Maybe there is a cover on the album (it could be the surprise collaboration that Sammi has referred to quite regularly).

Anyway, what we can ascertain is that these five songs will be on the album Shake That, Nine, Always, Born to Be Alive and Let the good times roll. If you add Sweet Talk that makes six songs.

Interestingly, it mentions two new songwriters & producers Tiffany Fred and Mansur Zafr which haven't been mentioned previously.

11 tracks, Shake That being the only one I've heard.

A new song released alongside it called What You Want.
