Gosh, The One Show had a bigger impact than I thought it would according to Kworb.

 

I'm not surprised this is the first non radio style promo for it, pity the GN special isn't until 20/11 although I guess it will massively help the album release. I'm not sure Adele will be able to push a second single before Xmas like most artists do to promote their Xmas albums as Hello is so big and will devour anything else. That didn't hurt RITD and SLY I suppose though, Adele isn't like a normal artist :lol:

You have to feel a bit for Ben Haenow, they aren't even hiding that he may have won but Fleur is the one they are investing in. Ben cant be dumb he must know them having him perform on the Saturday show was like relegating him to 2nd spot straight away, the Asda ad promo for Sax (no doubt paid for by Syco) is just sticking the knife in. Makes me want him to actually do decently in the face of the machine working against him and 2nd hand heart is a decent song too.

 

The way the releases have been handled seems to indicate that doesn't it. Well we have seen how fickle Simon can be even if this is the case, who knows how long it lasts.

 

Album sales will be the decider.

 

But if they want to know why people are switching off in droves/losing interest, they only have to look at this kind of thing tbh.

At the end of the day just because he won the show doesn't mean he'd necessarily go onto great things. Perhaps the new single just isn't connecting. He did a shoddy performance on The X Factor so it's no wonder that the single didn't get the greatest of boosts. His album could still do well, you never know. But resenting Fleur and the way her career is going so far, isn't going to change how Ben does.
