Biography

A seasoned performer on the Irish music scene, acoustic singer/songwriter Jamie Lawson eventually found fame when one of his tracks became an overnight YouTube sensation. Born and raised in Plymouth, England, Lawson picked up the guitar at age eight and, influenced by Crowded House, R.E.M., and Leonard Cohen, began his musical career in a covers band while still at school. At 17, he discovered his voice, and spent the next few years performing across the Irish club circuit with the likes of Gemma Hayes, Glen Hansard, and Tom Baxter. He released his debut album, Last Night Stars on his own Allotment Recordings label in 2003, though it wasn't until his second album, seven years later that he would find greater success. The Pull of the Moon was released in 2010, but it took off a year later, when the YouTube video of one of its tracks, "Wasn't Expecting That," was played on Ireland's biggest station, Today FM's Breakfast Show. The song became the station's most requested track, and launched his chart career in his adopted homeland. In 2015, Lawson became the first act signed to Ed Sheeran's Warner Bros. imprint Gingerbread Records. His self-titled third LP arrived later that year. - iTunes

2015 06 Wasn't Expecting That -1-

Wasn't Expecting That is basically like Waiting For Love only a ballad. On paper, very good credentials, but is a complete and utter turd.

I do hope this can disappear quickly.

I loved it at the time. I like most of her singles apart. Orinioco Flow doesn't do much for me. The Celts is my fave.

A couple of years ago I bought the whole discography of hers :D

But I haven't listen to her for a time now, but will definitely buy her new album :)

Can this stay longer tbh

A couple of years ago I bought the whole discography of hers :D

But I haven't listen to her for a time now, but will definitely buy her new album :)

Just a singles fan, really.

I hope this can achieve a new peak next week with X-Factor performance.

Biography

Coldplay are a British rock band formed in 1996 by lead vocalist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland at University College London. After they formed under the name Pectoralz, Guy Berryman joined the group as a bassist and they changed their name to Starfish. Will Champion joined as a drummer, backing vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, completing the line-up. Manager Phil Harvey is often considered an unofficial fifth member. The band renamed themselves "Coldplay" in 1998, before recording and releasing three EPs; Safety in 1998, Brothers & Sisters as a single in 1999 and The Blue Room in the same year. The latter was their first release on a major label, after signing to Parlophone.

They achieved worldwide fame with the release of the single "Yellow" in 2000, followed by their debut album released in the same year, Parachutes, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize. The band's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), was released to critical acclaim and won multiple awards, including NME's Album of the Year. They have also come top of the BBC Radio 2 poll of the favourite album of all time. Their next release, X&Y, the best-selling album worldwide in 2005, was met with mostly positive reviews upon its release, though some critics felt that it was inferior to its predecessor. The band's fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), was produced by Brian Eno and released again to largely positive reviews, earning several Grammy nominations and wins at the 51st Grammy Awards. On 24 October 2011, they released their fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto, which received mixed to positive reviews, topped the charts in over 34 countries, and was the UK's best-selling rock album of 2011.

The band have won a number of music awards throughout their career, including eight Brit Awards—winning Best British Group three times—five MTV Video Music Awards and seven Grammy Awards from 25 nominations. Coldplay have sold more than 80 million records worldwide. In December 2009, Rolling Stone readers voted the group the fourth-best artist of the 2000s. Coldplay have been an active supporter of various social and political causes, such as Oxfam's Make Trade Fair campaign and Amnesty International. The group have also performed at various charity projects such as Band Aid 20, Live 8, Sound Relief, Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief, The Secret Policeman's Ball, Sport Relief and the UK's Teenage Cancer Trust. - Wikipedia

Album Discussion Here

Adventure Of A Lifetime is really catchy. I'm hoping A Head Full of Dreams can go to #1 on the album chart despite 25.

so that was a false information :D (Bieber is not 17)

omg that is a messup of Olly Murs proportions

How can that Bieber song be a new entry when it was #32 last week?

Oh my god that mess  Makes me yearn for the days of Jameela :jameela:

Runnin' (Lose It All) still sounds amazing.

I'm seriously hoping Little Mix can get a new peak in a few tracks time.

Biography

Shahid Khan (born 13 March 1985), often credited by his artist and production name Naughty Boy, is a British DJ, songwriter, record producer and musician. In 2012, Khan signed a three-year publishing deal with Sony ATV, as well as a recording contract to release one album under Virgin EMI Records. Khan launched himself as a record producer under the moniker "Naughty Boy" and runs his own production company called Naughty Boy Recordings.

Naughty Boy has produced two top-ten records for UK rappers Chipmunk and Wiley, both featuring Emeli Sandé. Naughty Boy and Sandé later formed a writing and production partnership, leading to Sandé landing her own record deal with Virgin and EMI. Sandé went on to be named the Critics Choice for the 2012 BRIT Awards, and release her debut album Our Version of Events (2012), a record co-written/produced with Naughty Boy. Khan spent 2011 and 2012 working on records for Leona Lewis, JLS, Cheryl Cole, Jennifer Hudson, Alesha Dixon and Tinie Tempah, among others.

In 2013, Naughty Boy released his debut album Hotel Cabana. The set features prominent collaborator Sandé, as well as Ed Sheeran, Gabrielle and others. It was preceded by the release of the top-ten single "Wonder" (featuring Sandé), the number one hit "La La La", featuring Sam Smith and "Lifted", another collaboration with Sandé. His debut album peaked at number two in the UK.

On 19 October 2013, Naughty Boy's "La La La" was awarded 'Best Song' and 'Best Video' at the MOBO Award's 18th Anniversary. - Wikipedia
