GREAT FIRST EPISODE.

 

 

Disappointed about who went though, I don't mind Laila but she's given me vague Sasha Belle mess teas from the minute she was announced and I'm seeing little to change that, Naysha had more to give for me. There's nobody I DON'T like so far, Acid Betty's entrance was my favourite, Kim's runway was my favourite and Cynthia and Thorgy seem GREAT fun. NEXT WEEKS TRAILER THOUGH WOT COULD THAT BE.

 

 

I've heard Laila being compared to Sasha a few times now, I'm not seeing it personally :lol: I actually think Laila is pretty fierce, and I thought they were way to harsh on her runway look, I loved it. I think(hope) she will surprise a few people! :) Still sad about Naysha leaving, I really think she could have been the "black horse" of the competition if she'd gotten through this week :lol: hopeing Ru brings her back :lol:

Also cannot understand for the life of me why Robbie was safe. Horrendous runway, though good photo, but seems a massive debbie downer atm! Also thought ChiChi was lucky to be in the safe group, her makeup looked busted to me, though I am finding her as a person really likeable. IDK it's only 1 episode in, it's just so damn hard to say at this point

 

I loved the episode, so so good. I feel the fire already.

I watched the episode last night even tho it was super late. Oh what would I not do for the drag race ;_;

 

Either way, it was amazing! Much better than season 7's opening in my opinion.

Cynthia is like a Latina Tammie Brown :wub: then Acid, Bob, Kim and Derrick are all up in my affections

massively enjoyable first episode. still living for bob, thorgy, naomi and kim (already decided i want them as my top 4)

 

 

nayasha

being first eliminated wasn't a shock to me but it does seem like she will be a small loss; she seemed rather warm and out of everyone she actually looked best at the red carpet premiere (like properly stuuuuning). i think there could have been a lot more of her to show, but as i said i'm not gutted.

 

i think this year is so strong that no matter who goes that it will be somewhat of a loss. the only one who i don't see any sparkle of star quality with and haven't at all warmed to is

chi chi

, but to be fair to her she surprised me and had a rather good runway look so i suppose she deserved to get through this time.

I'm surprised Derrick Barry is getting such an easy time from viewers (I know it's only Week 1, there's time), his look wasn't even Courtney Act levels of "I can still look not half arsed despite only wearing a bra and panties", it was really tellingly quite basic but he was able to just skip through it with very limited critique. Think he's gonna struggle a lot to break out from being anything more than a Britney impersonator, don't think he has the Chad in him.

I think Derrick is going to try to show them versatility but will fall short with her looks and RuPaul will eventually tell her to show Britney again as that is her A-game. I don't think she'll make it through the makeover challenge if there's one this season.

best season opener ever! I'm really glad they celebrated 100 episodes and rightly so! got me so hyped! Also applause for the lip sync was everything I needed.

 

Acid Betty, Kim Chi, Bob The Drag Queen and Derrick Barry are my favourites so far although it could change... oh and the right queen went.

Having said that, there's something in Derrick I am rooting for already tbf, probably because she ISN'T already ready and I like seeing potential to totally emerge throughout the show.

I warmed a lot more to Derrick in the first episode than I thought I would. Robbie is standing out as the one I really have no time for at the moment, but we'll see how it unfolds

derrick / acid / robbie's attitudes SUCK atm.

Derrick in Untucked wore on me a little, but I'm still quite enjoying her, every series needs a villan, and I think she could fit that this year, Acid Betty I feel could be the Bianca of this series (the lovable bitch) which is why I think I'm warming to her so much. Robbie is just no for me atm

(really still think she should have been bottom 2)

Laila, Naysha was one, but hey ho (will get over it eventually :lol: )

i was expecting to rly love acid betty from what i've seen from her before but GOD she had such a bad attitude towards everything.

yeah i can't say that i am enjoying acid at all, she just seems so bitter even when there is no reason to be

 

& why did no one call out those hideous tights? the dress was fab but the tights completely threw the whole thing off

Why are so many of them already rank out of drag, Acid Betty was foul as a boy.

 

None have really struck out to me yet.

I love Kim Chi so much. Surely she is guaranteed top 3 already?

 

It annoys me that Michelle is already telling Derek not to do Britney anymore, he's hardly scratched the surface with her as far as viewers are concerned, and from what we've seen, it's been amazing. Sure, switch it up every few episodes, to something non-Britney, but it would be so annoying if Britney wasn't done for Snatch Games because of Michelle!

 

 

Acid Betty is going to be trouble, I think. Really not liking her vibe.

I would be really shocked if Kim Chi wasn't top 3, obviously lots of the series to go, and we have seen strong contenders eliminated too soon in past season *coughs Max cough*, but I think surely she's the one to beat, because her runway is just always going to be gag worthy, if nothing else, and it's not like that's all she is so, yeah, I can't even see her lip syncing at any point, but we'll have to see :lol:

 

The Michelle thing! Honestly, I mean, obvy love queen Visage, but this is getting ridiculous (still not over her badgering of Bendela to show "vulnerability") but like this is episode 1, give the girl some time!!
