Happy to see 'Sax' at the top, I can see it hanging around for quite a while officialy too. Not expecting big things from the album but we'll see.

 

Pleasing also to see 'Cheyenne' rebound, although I'm still baffled as to why it flopped officially: it's arguably a great pop song, following up a huge Number 1, he's a big name, it had plenty of airplay... all the ingredients for a hit so I just don't get it :unsure: maybe there was just too long a gap after WTWM?

 

I thought 'Army' was average until I heard Ellie perform it on CIN and now I quite like it. However it's still not anywhere near her best and somehow I can't really see it being a big hit even if it gets decent airplay.

Oh, and 'She's Madonna' is a classic, I was really annoyed at the time that it missed the Top 10!

Yeah, 'Sax' should definitely stick around a while. Feels like it should have performed even better but obviously Adele and Justin Bieber are too dominant right now. Still gets a huge reception on a night out! Yeah, I can't see the album doing too well, not initially at least - she might turn it around with a successful ballad/down-tempo.

 

Agreed again with 'Cheyenne'. I'm not sure if holding it back was a problem either because 'Want to Want Me' wasn't going anywhere on radio and would have easily overshadowed it I think. Perhaps the video release was too early - I seem to remember seeing it on TV a couple of weeks after 'Want to Want Me' was released and then heard nothing of it until it was sent to radio. Certainly one of his best.

 

I thought that too but the CIN performance turned it around for me too. When it finally kicks in, it's brilliant! One of the better tracks on her album too which, on the whole, hasn't really impacted on me.

 

Glad you like 'She's Madonna' too! One of my favourites from Robbie, along with 'Tripping'. Not deserving to be one of his least successful, but I suppose he hadn't had much luck in the Rudebox era.

Not too fussed about 'Focus' personally. I've never been a huge fan of Ariana anyway (mostly because her poor diction really annoys me) - this song is actually not bad, but I don't like the male vocal in the chorus, which puts me off it.

 

'Hey Boy' is also fairly average for a Take That song. I really hope they come back with a killer lead single for the next era - preferably in the style of 'Patience' because I'm quite frankly losing patience (pun intended) with their electropop sound. Doubt it will happen though.

 

'Adventure Of A Lifetime' once again I'm finding quite average, although saying that it has grown on me over the past week or so, especially the last minute of the song. But I have to say, I do miss the old Coldplay and singles like 'Fix You', 'In My Place' and 'Speed Of Sound'. That's when they were at their absolute best for me.
