191. Teach Me- Joey Badass Ft Kiesza 57,570 11-25-X

192. Honey I’m Good- Andy Grammer 56,420 15-37-X

193. Something Right- Molly Pettersson Hammar 55,490 40-34-X

194. Whole Lot Of Love- Duffy 54,930 20-32-X

195. Heroes- Mans Zelmerlow 54,810 15-26-X

196. Whistle [While You Work It]- Katy Tiz 52,280 6-X

197. Honeymoon- Lana Del Rey 51,830 14-38-X

198. Pray To God- Calvin Harris Ft Haim 48,900 ....-32-36-32-X

199. Regret- Everything Everything 47,910 32-30-39-X

200. Same Old Love- Selena Gomez Ft Charli XCX 47,250 30-X

Teach Me: I love this and it only just missed a top placing by a couple of thousand copies. This was the 2nd collaboration between the two after Bad Thing and this was a really fun song, especialy Kiesza's chorus which is amazing

Honey I'm Good: Yeah this was excellent and so good for about one week and got very crap quickly as you can tell by the chart-run.

Something Right: Another UVLand entry, however this one wasn't vetoed and scored us a #22 hit in the BJSC final, higher than its personal chart peak of #34! I liked this but it is definitely one of my least favourite entries!

Whole Lot Of Love: Duffy's comeback was like Jordin Sparks comeback last year. Both artists who were in my top 3 favourite artists ever in 2009 but both disappeared from the music scene for a lengthy amount of time until appearing with a song in a movie that is crap by their standards. It's amazing to have Duffy back but this song is absolutely dreadful. I think it was top 10 in the midweeks here as well!

Heroes: The Eurovision winner is at #95 and is only one of 2 Eurovision songs in the top 200- very poor compared to last year which had 3 songs top 100. Heroes is quite similar to The Nights by Avicii, a really good track and I can see why it won Eurovision though it wasn't my favourite entry.

Whistle (While You Work It): Katy Tiz is the first artist to have a top 10 single drop out in this countdown. The song shot into the top 10 at #6 after it became an Ultraviolenceland entry. But then the song got vetoed so dropped out the next week because it wasn't a UVLand entry anymore! It is a really good and fun pop track though!

Honeymoon: First song to pass 50,000! Possibly the worst thing Lana has ever put her name to and this really didn't get me excited for her album. The song debuted at #14 as it was Lana's comeback before falling swiftly to #38 and straight out of the charts. It was the only Lana track to not be top 55 on album release week and this track is horrid.

Pray To God: This was looking like it would be massive hit in my chart after peaking at #8 in November after the album was released but alas it was not meant to be! After flopping in the official chart, it also struggled to regain traction here and reached a peak of #32 for 2015.

Regret: While Distant Past just missed the top 200 by a tiny bit, Regret sneaks in despite only peaking at #30. This is such a good and fun track and the song nearly re-entered my chart after I saw them live!

Same Old Love: I quite like this but it is pretty poor for two artists who are both capable of way way better. It is quite catchy but nothing great. It is the first of 3 entries for Selena and 6 entries for Charli!

181. Roads- Lawson 72,640 16-19-33-X

182. Title- Meghan Trainor 72,020 41-27-38-40-40-39-X

184. Chains- Nick Jonas 70,050 40-41-41-23-X

185. You’re Such A- Hailee Steinfeld 64,560 41-38-36-X

186. Lay All Your Love On Me- Amanda Seyfried Ft Dominic Cooper 62,990 17-16-40-X

187. Come And Get It- John Newman 62,580 14-28-X

188. Sledgehammer- Fifth Harmony 61,950 12-33-X

189. She’s Kinda Hot- 5 Seconds of Summer 59,390 39-28-40-X

190. Even If- Ella Eyre 58,230 35-24-34-X

Favourites from Cami Li, Joseph, Seven and Rob S appear in the 181-190 section as we go through some of the smaller but good hits!

Ella Eyre kicks of the top 190 with her beautiful ballad Even If which went top 40 when Feline was finally released! The song would have been perfect on a John Lewis advert or something like. 5 Seconds Of Summer released their best single to date (just ahead of Don't Stop) which scored them their 2nd top 40 hit in Ultraviolenceland (Don't Stop at #24 was their first) with She's Kinda Hot. The song took a while to grow on me, not impacting my chart till late August, but when it hit me it sounded incredible. Fifth Harmony's best song is by far their lowest as talking about late impacts, Sledgehammer hit me about 10 months after release. The song shot in at #12 when it finally hit me before falling quickly because of how old it is and a competitive market. It really is a fantastic song and the girls vocals are amazing on it *.*

Next up is Come And Get It which is quite good but got old very quickly after shooting into the chart at #14 before plummeting. The epic version of Lay All Your Love On Me from the Mamma Mia movie got the largest impact during my Mamma Mia stanning in January which saw this amazing cover hit the top 20 for the 2 weeks with solid sales! I'd definitely recommend watching Mamma Mia if you haven't already as it is such a fun movie! As I said in my album commentary, I am so excited for what Hailee Steinfeld has to bring in 2016 and the first of 3 EP tracks in my top 200 is the great You're Such A- which I believe is being sent to US radio soon! It is a really fun pop song and did well despite the overcrowded market. If it gets an official push or a music video, it will probably get pushed here again! Also Chains is at #184 which spent 3 weeks lingering in/out the top 40 before shooting up to just outside the top 20 when it finallly hit me! But I got really bored of it very quickly so it fell out. I don't actually think I've listened to it since!

At #183 is the 2nd of 3 entries for Selena in the form of the nice The Heart Get What It Wants which had sold 70k despite only peaking at a very low #39! The song missed the top 40 on original release due to a stupid release date but made my top 40 after the incredible Good For You was released which is still to come! In #182 is the first of a massive 8 or 9 entries for Meghan Trainor! Title is the album track from Meghan's album of the same name and it is a short fun pop bop. One of the many highlights from one of the best albums of 2015! And last up for this section is Lawson who surprisingly made their first listenable song in the form of Roads which deserved to be a big hit officially! The track spent 2 weeks top 20 which I think could be the most for a boyband track this year!

Even If is beautiful and Come And Get It is such an earworm.

She's Kinda Hot wasn't too bad, but Don't Stop is by far their best. I quite liked Amnesia aswell.

Roads is actually the worst song Lawson has released as a single by quite some distance. Such a disappointment after the fantastic Juliet, which was one of the best tracks of 2013.

Teach Me is absolutely fantastic! Unpopular opinion, but I find a lot better than One Day (Vandaag). Pray To God is great also.

Honey I'm Good is awful, and I might have heard Sledgehammer at some point but I can't remember it. Although frankly, after being subjected to Worth It, I don't particularly want to hear anything from them again.

177. Fairytale Of New York- The Pogues 93,300 32-23-17-....

179. I Loved You- Blonde Ft Melissa Steel 87,280 24-17-28-32-X

180. Focus- Ariana Grande 78,520 13-25-31-X

This seems to be the section of non 2015 tracks as Focus, Goodbye To Yesterday & Wake Up are the only tracks to be released in 2015 here!

And let's start with one of those at #180 which is Ariana Grande's Focus which has good verses, an amazing middle 8 and possibly the worst chorus of the entire year. The chorus brings the song down so much and I really don't like the song anymore + never listen to it! The song flopped in my charts by missing the top 10 (her last lead single Problem shot in at #1) but unlike her other single that missed the top 10 (Break Free which ended up selling +400,000), this plummeted incredibly quickly. I think I've heard I Loved You about 5 times in the last 8 months, it is a good dance song though and did quite well in early January after the Christmas/Gift Card boosts died down. And a couple of Christmas Classics entered my top 40 for the first time in the form of Kelly Clarkson and The Pogues. Underneath The Tree has sounded better than ever this year and hit the top 10 last week- it is the first of a surprisingly little 2 entries for Kelly this year- and The Pogues somehow didn't go top 40 last year but this year they make the top 40!

Another song back because of Christmas was Do You Want To Build A Snowman from Frozen which did well despite there being no snow and if it sells the exact same amount next year as it did this year, it will sneak pass the 2,000,000 mark by 1,000 copies!! Like Sledgehammer earlier on, Shower also took a long time to grow on me, and when it finally hit me it zoomed into the top 10 before falling quickly! Such a fun song and I played it to death over the summer! The final Eurovision song this year is in a low position of #174 as Estonia's Goodbye To Yesterday is the first song to pass the 100k mark this year. I really love this song and it deserved to win Eurovision, their vocals are both stunning- especially Elina's

Sia scored another mini chart-hit in the form of Big Girls Cry which is a fantastic track and eventually went top 25 after sneaking into the top 40 a few weeks before reaching its peak. The song is great but on the other hand the video is dreadful. Possibly the highest non rock boyband song this year comes courtesy of The Vamps with the fantastic Wake Up which just missed the top 10 on it's first week along with Miley Cyrus & Tinashe- the latter who would eventually go top 10 the next week! Wake Up is a great song and heavily reminds me of Echo by the wonderful Girls Can't Catch  And completing this section at #171 is the always fabulous Ella Henderson with the first of 6 entries here! (Actually I think all her singles may be in this years End Of Year chart!). Yours is a beautiful ballad and hung around for a few weeks at the start of the year which saw it receive a gold certification here.

I Loved You, Fairytale Of New York, Big Girls Cry and Yours are all fantastic.

168. (117) Breaking Up- Charli XCX 115,840 (267,360) ....-42-30-29-31-37-35-36-35-35-X

169. I’ll Be Home- Meghan Trainor 115,630 33-22-11-....

170. Lightning- Little Mix 114,190 32-30-27-26-36-X

Kicking off the top #170 are the Queens of my chart at the moment with the first of many entries from Little Mix  Lightning was released as part of the Love Me Like You: Christmas Mix EP and it is an absolutely incredible song which spent 5 weeks top 40! It is very similar to the amazing DNA. Next up is the 2nd of 9 entries from Meghan with Ultraviolenceland Christmas Spin-Off Entry (which we hosted!) I'll Be Home. The song is a beautiful Christmas ballad and just missed out to Kelly on a top 10 placing last week! It is not the only song to peak at #11 here as RiRi's dire comeback continued with the started good American Oyxgen but it goes on for about 2 and a 1/2 minutes too long and drols on and on till it gets so boring you don't want to listen to it. This was another flop for RiRi here and fell very quickly. Another couple of 2014 tracks here, one from Charli which missed the top 100 last year and one from Paloma which sneaked into the top 10 last year. Breaking Up did very well by only charting at a high of 29 in 2015 but spending 8 weeks top 40 which saw it pass silver. Paloma got some sales from the January giftcard boost at the start of the year but stormed back up to #12 after one of the best Brits performances with this beautiful track  OLCHLT is still epic and one of the best songs from the last few years!

I was expecting Something Big to be a massive hit in my chart, but then it got randomly released on a random Friday so it struggled here. It sneaked into the top 10 in its 3rd week before falling quickly after. I love the song and it would be higher if this wasn't based on sales as I still listen to it regularly. I thought this was going to be Shawn's only hit here but ... yeah well y'all know that didn't happen! Girls Aloud Queen Sarah Harding zooms into #164 with her debut song Threads which got far too much of a hard time and is a really fun song that's actually very good. It reached top 10 here in August! The last of the non singles from Hailee's EP is up next with Hell No's And Headphones selling incredibly well despite only peaking at #27 so far. Expect the song to go at least top 20 here after the giftcard effect dies down because I am in love with it at the moment! Famous completes this section at #161 and would have done a lot better had it not released in a really competitive marketplace which meant it struggled to gain traction. It still sold well and had a quite good chart-run which led onto the next single from Sucker becoming a top 5 hit (more on that later)!

You may have noticed I didn't do commentary on one song there and that's because it needs it's own commentary. Don't Stop Believin is the only #1 to miss the top 100 let alone completely flop as the #162 biggest seller of the year and shifting a laughable 124k. I was in a massive Glee mood for a week and played this loads so it just about beat Charli XCX to the top with Red Balloon but Glee completely plummeted the next week to 30 and then to 90 and then out of the top 200! Ouch. I do love the song but it should have never ever got to the top spot here!

Big Girls Cry and I Loved You <3

YAY for American Oxygen making an appearance! Started to think my chart would be the only place it would pop up :heehee:

Agree with your commentary for Same Old Love. Not sure why it was released as a single (especially when she has Sober on it!!). Loving the singles lot so far, keep it coming :D

156. Showbiz Christmas- Mr Showbiz 130,110 34-42-50-48-46-47-42-14-....

157. Talk- Sammi Sanchez 129,310 59-42-26-22-29-X

158. Hands Of Love- Miley Cyrus 128,420 13-22-35-38-X

159. (14) Ugly Heart- G.R.L 127,290 (1,159,430) ....-22-32-14-15-27-32-X

160. Hey Mama- David Guetta Ft Bebe Rexha, Nicki Minaj & Afrojack 126,950 43-15-14-30-X[x10]-21-39-X

Kicking of the top 160 is Hey Mama which is by far the best song David Guetta has done for about 3 years! Bebe's vocals are incredible and Nicki's parts are all good (forgot Nicki did have a song in my EOY!). The song peaked at #14 and re-entered at a later date after Alien's stunning performance at the 76 chair challenge. Talking about best songs for a few years, Miley Cyrus also falls into that category due to Hands Of Love being a lot more old Miley than nu Miley- the former of which I much prefer! Hands Of Love just missed the top 10 and spent a few weeks top 40 and sold well! It is from the movie Freeheld and is a beautiful ballad. Next up is the 2nd UVLand BJSC Entry in the form of the fantastic Talk which scored us our biggest hit yet by finishing in 15th. It is a great pop song and entered my top 40 after doing great for us, peaking 2 weeks ago at #22! Gabrielle Aplin had a minor hit with Light Up The Dark which zoomed into the top 15 after a couple of weeks on release and gave Gabrielle her only top 40 from this era.

A couple of songs I wish were a lot higher are in this section! SHOWBIZZZZZ *.* Zooms straight into #157 in my EOY with the absolute Christmas tune Showbiz Christmas *.* I legit love the song and it spreads so much Christmas cheer! After spending many weeks between 41-50, it zoomed into the top 15 in my most recent chart! If this chart wasn't based on sales, Runaway (U And I) would probably be top 50 because it is an incredible song and easily one of the best dance songs of the year  I've known it most of the year and it was fantastic to see it become a hit because it is such an anthem, it peaked at #16 here late on in its chart run! And recent X-Factor winner Louisa Johnson ends the year at #152 with her cover of Forever Young. Louisa's vocals are stunning and it is a really nice cover but the song is pretty bland unfortunately :( The song reached my top 5 last week which will probably be its peak and its only week top 10 for me!

And we have 3 hits from 2014 still lingering around. G.R.L edge ever closer to getting a 2x platinum hit with girlband anthem Ugly Heart which is easily one of the best songs of the last few years, last years Christmas #1 Up still did solid business this year and is the first of multiple entries for both Olly and Demi and just missing the top 150 is Ella Henderson with the magnificent Glow which hung around early this year. Ella still has her first and biggest hit from last year still to come, as well as Mirror Man and her 2 features in the top 150

Top 150 will probably start on Tuesday :) Plan is 150-101 Tuesday, 100-51 Wednesday & 50-1 + albums 10-1 Thursday though I might try and get some done tomorrow or extra on Tuesday or Wednesday!

Might do more later if there is demand

Hope you have enjoyed reading so far and please feel free to comment

Will reply to all comments this evening while watching Nan :)

Here is what I loved from the recent section,

Hiya UV

Yay at Hey Mama making it here, will be big in my chart but seems like a lot of people weren't fond of it. It was just bangin' from start to finish with a catchy/unusual chorus and great raps and a lot of personality too. Maybe Guetta's best now for me joint with Turn Me On!

American Oxygen would probably be at a similar position on mine, I did like it and how atmospheric and daring it was but it's just not really what Rihanna should be doing. IT had a good theme and production and she sounded good but it just felt odd :/

Something Big was quite the tune, a good set-up to the more brilliant Stitches. I really like his voice and it had a good video too of him collecting all the people to walk down the street. Shame his album isn't as jam-packed with tunes.

Glad to see Wake Up too, might have been a bit of an oversight on my list because I do really like it. They kept all the good hooks and stuff from their first album but made it even greater by adding some lovely synths, shame it wasn't a big hit and their album suffered due to that. :(

Tove Lo's album was great, and Emotion was amazing ofc

192. Honey I’m Good- Andy Grammer 56,420 15-37-X this is good, "Grammer" tho :/ :heehee:

196. Whistle [While You Work It]- Katy Tiz 52,280 6-X Forgot this existed  quite catchy tho!

198. Pray To God- Calvin Harris Ft Haim 48,900 ....-32-36-32-X this grew to a pretty likable song! Two great artists especially Calvin  glad this didn't flop THAT much :|

200. Same Old Love- Selena Gomez Ft Charli XCX 47,250 30-X oh was Charli in this? :o nice track tho!

Thanks Spun and glad your loving some of the albums

I think it's Grammar as well omg

It is so catchy *.*

Especially Haim you mean :kink:

Yeah its Charli's vocals on the chorus but she is uncredited!

I Loved You, Fairytale Of New York, Big Girls Cry and Yours are all fantastic.

Thanks Taylor

Even If really is beautiful!

I agree on Don't Stop but I hate Amnesia!

I loved Juliet actually, forgot that existed!

Different Teach Me :kink: That's the Bakermat one I think whereas the one here is Joey Badass/Keisza :)

Sledgehammer is so so different from Worth It so you might like it!

Glad you are enjoying quite a lot of tracks

Big Girls Cry and I Loved You <3

YAY for American Oxygen making an appearance! Started to think my chart would be the only place it would pop up :heehee:

Agree with your commentary for Same Old Love. Not sure why it was released as a single (especially when she has Sober on it!!). Loving the singles lot so far, keep it coming :D

Thanks Haus

Sober HAS to be a single! By far the best on the album after Good For You  Glad your enjoying the countdown and the songs

Here is what I loved from the recent section,

Glow - Not as good as Ghost but love anyhow

Forever Young - This is okay not a fan of it much tho oops

Up - Such a amazing song

Runaway - I love this dance song

Showbiz Christmas - SHOWBIZZZZZZ :music: :yahoo:

Talk - Good BJSC entry :cheer: :music:

Hey Mama - Good song  I love Nicki's rap

Thanks Harry

Also prefer Ghost, that's still to come!

I like it but Louisa could have had so many better tracks :(

Glad you love the rest, including SHOWBIZ *.*

Thanks Josh

Probably wouldn't go as far as Hey Mama being my Guetta favourite but it is definitely top 10 for me! When Love Takes Over & She Wolf are my favourites  Hey Mama is really underrated though!

Agreed it's not what RiRi should be doing either :(

I also love the video (more because Shawn is in it though :kink:) and also loved the album though I do wish there were a couple more uptempos!

Agreed, Wake Up is probably my 3rd favourite Vamps song yet

EW at Luke Friend

YAS @ Sammi Sanchez! It's kinda hard to root for her considering "Talk" is her only good song. "Butterflies" is a nonentity and "Bad Habit", the follow-up, is just bad.

Roads- Lawson good effort but not as good as their stuff a few years ago

183. The Heart Gets What It Wants- Selena Gomez 71,280 39-X

184. Chains- Nick Jonas not meeting the Levels and definitely far from Jealous for me

187. Come And Get It- John Newman 62,580 14-28-X nice track, kept changing my mind on whether or not I could chart it

188. Sledgehammer- Fifth Harmony 61,950 12-33-X :music: deserved top 40 tho

189. She’s Kinda Hot- 5 Seconds of Summer 59,390 39-28-40-X  this isn't good, SLSP was much better, even Don't Stop and Amnesia sounds quite good compared to this :kink:

171. (62) Yours- Ella Henderson this grew on me eventually :o

172. Wake Up- The Vamps it's ok, not as good as their last year era tho

173. Big Girls Cry- Sia nice little song, interesting video despite not much happening

175. Shower- Becky G 99,560 8-25-X :music: discovering the Mike Williams remix this year made it even better though :music:

176. (12) Do You Want To Build A Snowman- Kristen Bell 98,220 (1,903,940) ....-X[x45]-52-48-43-51-43-36-28-21-.... Oh I'd love to build a snowman but there's never any snow down here :nocheer:

177. Fairytale Of New York- The Pogues 93,300 32-23-17-.... Christmas classique

178. Underneath The Tree- Kelly Clarkson 91,620 49-38-10-....

179. I Loved You- Blonde Ft Melissa Steel 87,280 24-17-28-32-X another great Blonde track

180. Focus- Ariana Grande 78,520 13-25-31-X quite catchy, got old a little quick tho, probably because it's too Problem which was greater :music:

161. Famous- Charli XCX 125,520 31-35-40-28-28-29-34-X love video and song is crazy but catchy

162. Don’t Stop Believing- Glee Cast 124,750 1-30-X I actually like this :o lol at the chart run

163. Hell No’s And Headphones- Hailee Steinfeld 124,660 45-36-27-31-31-35-.... never heard of this but  that artist name :heehee:

165. American Oxygen- Rihanna 124,100 11-16-24-30-X Rihanna's best effort this year but it's just ok, really shows how far down she's gone this era and that leak in the album thread was :|

166. (10) Only Love Can Hurt Like This- Paloma Faith 123,980 (1,454,270) ....-18-29-34-X-X-X-X-X-X-12-20-X it's Brave pt 2 but this is still quite good :P

167. Something Big- Shawn Mendes 122,120 40-19-10-20-30-X heard this several times on SongPop :P it's alright

168. (117) Breaking Up- Charli XCX 115,840 (267,360) ....-42-30-29-31-37-35-36-35-35-X great track on Sucker

170. Lightning- Little Mix 114,190 32-30-27-26-36-X

151. (37) Glow- Ella Henderson 138,680 (687,920) ....-20-22-23-25-29-30-37-39-X glowingly good :D

153. (78) Up- Olly Murs Ft Demi Lovato 135,000 (433,620) ....-8-9-10-19-29-X Olly's best this season :kink: love the Demi vocals, otherwise Olly has also underperformed this year, eek.

154. Light Up In The Dark- Gabrielle Aplin 134,510 33-35-14-16-25-31-X sounds ok, her first three back in 2012 or whenever it was were much better tho

155. Runaway [u And I]- Galantis 133,830 40 -42-41-24-16-17-30-X :music: grew to adore this, and what an amazing album :o

156. Showbiz Christmas- Mr Showbiz 130,110 34-42-50-48-46-47-42-14-.... why did this flop in BJSC  it's funny and great!

158. Hands Of Love- Miley Cyrus 128,420 13-22-35-38-X ew Smiley Virus

159. (14) Ugly Heart- G.R.L 127,290 (1,159,430) ....-22-32-14-15-27-32-X :music: very catchy. Need more of these girls as this and WWL and Lighthouse were great!

160. Hey Mama- David Guetta Ft Bebe Rexha, Nicki Minaj & Afrojack 126,950 43-15-14-30-X[x10]-21-39-X this can be a little annoying and it's a bit weak for David's standards but I see you are liking this kind of stuff from him :heehee: Nicki's raps aren't that good and I might not have guessed either Guetta/Afrojack produced this :o the male vocal in the start and other places annoys me  the Bebe vocals are quite good tho

Focus is obviously absolutely amazing

Runaway (U & I) & I Loved you & Turn The Music Louder are all good dance tracks, in a year where dance music hasn't been great.

Distant Past is the best song Everything Everything have done.

Heroes was a good winner's track at Eurovisions, even if I preferred Israel & Estonia.

Sledgehammer is another brillaint song ftom Fifth Harmony.

Great countdown so far :)

146. Be Right There- Diplo & Sleepy Tom 154,290 9-21-26-40-X

147. (50) Champion- Pixie Lott 145,490 (588,690) ....-21-15-9-23-28-31-X

148. The Way We Are- Alesha Dixon 144,550 5-12-21-28-X

149. Feet Don’t Fail Me Now- Foxes 140,320 18-9-18-28-X

150. Love Me Like You Mean It- Kelsea Ballerini 138,790 27-15-12-13-31-X

Let's zoom into the top 150 now where we start seeing mostly top 10 hits falling with only two 5 weeks runners and a 2014 song missing the top 10 here in 2015.

With Sammi Sanchez just missing out on the top 150 by a few places, fellow BJSC entry Love Me Like You Mean It by Kelsea Ballerini sneaks into the top 150 after peaking at #12 and doing very well in the BJSC final for UVLand! I love the song and it is really good country music. On the other hand, Foxes's awful Feet Don't Fail Me Now peaked in the top 10 before plummeting- Foxes has been terrible this era bar the amazing Body Talk which is still to come :( Chart ineligible The Way We Are was quite a good for Alesha here, peaking in the top 5 but subsequently falling quickly. It is by far the best thing from Alesha this era and I love the rap mix as well.

As usual there are still a couple of 2014 hits lingering around- this time courtesy of Lily Allen & Pixie Lott. I continued playing Champion so much at the start of the year which led to Pixie getting a 3rd week top 10 with this track! Champion is such a fantastic track and the best from Pixie's self titled debut. As Long As I Got You remains as fun as ever and returned to the charts after being used heavily in the Shaun The Sheep: Movie advertising and some other reason which I've forgotten! We also see a rare dance hit in this section from Diplo & Sleepy Tom which went top 10 last month & Lauren Aqualina's beautiful cover of Time To Say Goodbye for the Downton Abbey advert did very well here by becoming her biggest hit!

And it wouldn't be a section without a few chart flops: M.O.'s anthem Preach, Tulisa's failed comeback Living Without You and future hit for 2017 Let It All Go. All the songs went top 10 here; top 5 in the case of them all bar the latter. But they all fell very quickly! Preach is a fun girlband track but there has been much better girlband tracks this year, Living Without You was a fluke top 5 and I do like it but always forget it exists (especially forgetting it was released this year!) and Let It All Go is nice but far too depressing to listen to than more than once a day! Let It All Go's chart-run also suffered due to the chart changing to an OA/OS chart when it was released!

'Feet Don't Fail Me Now' and 'The Way We Are' are both really good, probably would both just be outside of my Top 100. It's a better year than I remember for music.

131. Music To Watch Boys To- Lana Del Rey 191,510 13-31-26-24-28-34-39-X

132. Terrence Loves You- Lana Del Rey 187,930 9-19-22-24-27-36-X

133. Last Christmas- Carly Rae Jepsen 186,100 28-32-19-13-13-....

134. Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself- Jess Glynne 185,170 6-13-16-21-X

135. I Am- Leona Lewis 181,750 10-12-14-27-34-X

136. Peanut Butter Jelly- Galantis 176,080 30-26-24-31-18-23-31-X

137. Around The World- Natalia La Rose Ft Fetty Wrap 175,730 5-12-26-X

138. Hey QT- QT 166,460 7-11-16-18-29-35-X

139. (3) Ghost- Ella Henderson 161,870 (2,242,060) ....-16-18-24-27-31-28-34-38-38-X

140. Thunder- Leona Lewis 161,870 30-X[x15]-23-22-28-30-X

As we get closer to songs that have been certified, we see double appearances from Lana Del Rey & Leona Lewis in this section!

Leona had a terrible chart year officially but had a solid year in UVLand with Thunder & I Am being the first of 5 entries for Leona! Will the other 3 manage to make the top 100? Thunder charted originally as an album track and peaked at #22 earlier this month while I Am sneaked a top 10 week back in July and held solidly! Both are nice and good tracks and I'd love Leona to get a hit again! On the other hand, Lana disappointed quite a bit this year as she now only has 3 songs remaining in this years countdown- only one of those three being from Honeymoon :( I love the video to Music To Watch Boys To and the track reached #13 when released as instant grat before the video gave it stability & Terrence Loves You was the first instant grat and a very nice track from Lana, this peaked at #9 like Shades Of Cool last year.

Carly's nice but nothing amazing cover of Last Christmas did solid business over the Christmas season by spending two weeks at #13, it was top 10 in the midweeks at one point! Hey QT was a surprise top 10 hit in May and is a fun song for one of those computer song thingythingies and Natalie La Rose zoomed into the top 5 with Around The World but like Let It All Go, fell quickly due to being a held-back release at the time my chart was becoming fully OA/OS. Somebody is still to come but I prefer Around The World so at least that had the higher peak in my chart!

We also see a few big official charts hits here! Ella Henderson passed the 2.2M mark with mega-hit Ghost which was in the top 3 biggest sellers of last year, still an incredible track even if it sounded better last year. Jess Glynne got another song peaking at #5 or #6 here with Don't Be So Hard On Yourself (Take Me Home is the only Jess song to not peak at #5 or #6 and I've charted nearly every Jess song!) which fell quickly as I got bored of Jess. It is a very good song though! And the first of 2 songs that has something to do with Peanuts in this section comes from Galantis with mad-fun anthem Peanut Butter Jelly which really is just utter fun for 3 minutes. It peaked at a low #17 but had a good chart-run but if this chart wasn't based on sales, it would easily be in my top 75 as I adore the song!

Last year saw exactly 100 songs certified silver or more but how many will there be this year?!
