I'm conflicted with Emergency too. It's not bad but lacks the edge and the attitude that sets Icona Pop apart from the rest. Hope their next release brings that back.

One of the best songs of last year and the video holy f***!! Just proving that Taylor is a psycho when it comes to men (obviously). Turning Pop has definitely done favours for Taylor and I really really hope her next album will 'bring it' Too, though I have no doubts cause she's consistently presented us with amazing music.

This made its proper impact on me in 2014 where it charted for its first 30 weeks but my infatuation with this song carried on for a full total of 54 weeks :o Probably her best song for me also but her ballads are where her strength is!!

Loved 'Blank Space'.

 

'Only Love Can Hurt Like This'' though not a fan of sorry. Never really being a fan of Paloma Faith.

This was entered into BJSC at the end of the summer last year and represented a turn around for Mulgracia of sorts. It was the first top 10 position we'd achieved in the final in almost a year landing at #8. Shadow itself has been compared to something that Haim would have released so it's not too shabby. The video is fantastic also although it took me over a month to figure out just exactly what was happening :lol:

Carly :wub: one of the biggest crimes of flop that song was :angry:

Yep, my fave Ella song all year and it spent a massive 30 weeks on my chart. Only the next three songs on my EOY spent longer than that but they were definitely better than this.

Looking at the full run for this, it isn't actually that impressive in it's top 10 part of it but it did Amazing outside the top 10. I guess I just never properly tired of it.The moment I heard it I knew it was going to be a UK #1 and I remember saying as such but being told I was wrong a couple of months before the release. What a fantastic song and (If I do say so myself) a fantastic song to end my EOY on. This imo is the most perfect Song that Taylor has ever recorded. Going pop was most certainly Taylors ticket to SUPER STARDOM but there is no denying she's always had a certain something when it comes to making great Music. Maybe the fact that she was a successful country singer was what made her so good to begin with though. It's not like we get many of those now and I guess she's abandoned that route so that will leave room for brand new talent.
