May 7, 20169 yr ONE. FINAL. PUSH. :arrr: (Some wonderful inclusions here, many of which defined my year too. Love your write-up on 'FourFiveSeconds' in particular. That one caught absolutely everyone off-guard and really had its work [werwerwerwerwer] cut out winning people over, but it surely now stands among her best, and likely most enduring, ever efforts. Didn't think 'Stitches' would end that high here but it's well deserved. Sooooo damn catchy and manages to somehow retain its charm despite drawn-out blowing up everywhere) ((Genuinely can't think right now of what your top two could be  /flopduopartner. Excitement and tension and intrigue and suspense and hype~)) EDIT: Oops at me starting a new page just before your big reveal (and it being such a messy post too). :/// Edited May 7, 20169 yr by Noahspike
June 6, 20169 yr Author 2. Major Lazer feat. DJ Snake & MO "Lean On" Okay, had to cut back on the commentary otherwise this would never get done. Pretty much everyone agrees on "Lean On" anyway so I’ll just say my favorite thing about this is the video. The exotic setting combined with lots of color, captivating choreography and ridiculous amounts of swag…all take a song that was epic enough on its own, playing to the strengths of all three artists, and elevate it further to an incredible moment in music and the best collab of the year. In other words, one of the best music videos ever made. http://67.media.tumblr.com/00c803f11d897ac5512c1e443f3bfef7/tumblr_nm34qy5M9K1rkqq1ao7_r1_250.gifhttp://66.media.tumblr.com/422239e7392562ac832eeb57146ab59b/tumblr_nm34qy5M9K1rkqq1ao10_r4_250.gifhttp://66.media.tumblr.com/4c01b8da263652cf55f27845741a17b3/tumblr_nm34qy5M9K1rkqq1ao6_r1_250.gif 1. Walk The Moon "Shut Up And Dance" 6JCLY0Rlx6Q If you think you know what the #1 will be, keep in mind that 'Shut Up And Dance' was already included in my countdown last year. :o Gotta keep the suspense up!DID IT WORK??? I actually had this as my clear #1 for most of the year; it came to define 2015 so much more than 2014 so there's no way I could leave it out on a technicality. (Also, I'd included "I Lived" by OneRepublic in both years so that was a hint!) I first heard "Shut Up And Dance" near the end of a two-hour car journey; just the thought of a new Walk The Moon song was enough of a surprise, let alone the song itself being an instant classic. Luckily I was stuck at a long red light, otherwise I very well could have crashed. From there the trajectory went to nearly sending it to BJSC, to its UK release on my birthday, to miraculously seeing them perform it live. Throw in the other commonalities—they're from Ohio, I relate very strongly to the lead singer in the awkwardly awesome video (speaking of which, who IS that girl and why is she not famous!?)—and it's safe to say this song is a part of me now. Okay, I'm finally done attempting to pay tribute to my faves of 2015. Here's a recap since it's been six months, thanks for all the comments and to anyone who waited patiently for this to finish….oh, who am I kidding.
