Here is a rundown of the 20 songs and 5 albums that I have adored this year.

Whilst I get things together, here's my home nation's (Thelonia in case you don't know ;)) most successful song from BJSC this year performed live by Marian Hill.

#20. Charli XCX - Famous

An incredibly catchy and infectious bop, nothing more to be said.

#19. Kygo feat. Parson James - Stole The Show

Tropical house made its hotly anticipated crossover this year with Kygo at the forefront of the movement. Stole The Show was the second major single to be released by the man himself. A cracking song with an amazing video to boot.

#18. FKA twigs - Glass & Patron

This one was a slow burner and when it first emerged I thought that it had nothing on the fantastic LP1 from last year. However, having now listened to it over and over again, it's the production that does it for me. Quirky, different and damn right stunning, it is definitely my favourite from the M3LL155X EP.

#17. Dzeko & Torres feat. Delaney Jane - L'amour Toujours (Tiësto Edit)

An update on the Gigi D'Agostino classic that is a hands in the air, euphoric, 'lose your shit' anthem.

#16. Ben Haenow feat. Kelly Clarkson - Second Hand Heart

Ben Haenow's return to the chart since winning The X Factor last year may have fallen flat on its arse officially, but this song is so catchy and uplifting it just had to be featured.

#15. Enter Shikari - Anaesthetist

Can't say I've been the biggest fan of these guys in the past, but when I first heard this I was like *.*

#14. Major Lazer feat. Elliphant & Jovi Rockwell - Too Original

I was incredibly excited about Major Lazer releasing another album this year and I was not disappointed. This is the absolute highlight of the album for me, well, because Elliphant

#13. Ed Sheeran - Photograph (Felix Jaehn Remix)

I like Ed Sheeran and you can't deny the popularity of this man. Felix Jaehn's (from 'Cheerleader' fame) take on Photograph turns a nice song into a summery dance anthem.

#12. Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo - Rhymes

This has been floating around since last summer but didn't get an official release until January this year. This is definitely an example of how to reinvigorate a tired and overused sample into a deep house banger.

#11. Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money

Ah, the song (and the video) that divided everyone. It's certainly a bold move in a different direction from Rihanna and it's one that worked for me.

some great songs here so far, shame it's only a top 20! :(

what are 'Second Hand Heart' and 'Famous' doing here though, ew.

loving 'Rhymes', 'BBHMM' and 'Stole The Show' the most so far!

I think '+1' has a good chance of being #1 here ~

lmao Anaesthetist *.* YOU FUCKING SPANNER

YESSSS.

OP has been updated to include some songs that didn't quite make the cut.

How on EARTH did these miss your top 20? I swear you've expressed your love strongly on all of these :o

Clean Bandit - Stronger

David Zowie - House Every Weekend

Anne-Marie - Karate

Disclosure - Bang That

Axwell Λ Ingrosso - Sun Is Shining

All are fab except Bitch :manson: and not heard your #15 and #14. Photograph remix and STS are the best two so far  :music:

#10. Tazer x Tink - Wet Dollars

Fantastic as an instrumental, unbelievable with Tink vocals.

#9. Nick Jonas - Levels

I've become quite the fan of this bloke for the past year for more reasons than one ;) His music? Oh it's ok I suppose. #bopz

#8. Lost Frequencies feat. Janieck Devy - Reality

Whilst everyone gushed over Are You With Me, I moved onto the sadly more unsuccessful but my favourite of the two singles. I love the vocals, the chilled vibe, it's amazing.

#7. Fono - Real Joy

I can't really say Fono 'broke through' as a producer this year as this flopped massively despite Radio 1 and 1Xtra support. However, who cares! This song is utterly ridiculous. The production smacks you in face and I always feel energised after listening.

#6. DJ S.K.T feat. Rae - Take Me Away

Just missing out on the Top 5 is the debut crossover single from DJ S.K.T. Another example of making use of a sample and turning it into a proper anthem. I had this on repeat a lot during the late spring / early summer time and it still doesn't get boring.

#5. Denney - Low Frequency

I first discovered this through SubSoul on YouTube and fell in love with it instantly. So, when I heard it was getting a proper release I was really stoked! Again, this is another song which didn't achieve very much success (and never received the video treatment. Sort it out Ministry of Sound! :(), but it's one of my favourite dance tracks of the year. It's catchy and unforgettable and well deserved of a place in my Top 5.

#4. Grace feat. G-Eazy - You Don't Own Me

I first heard this when it was emerging in Australia earlier this year and was surprised it didn't receive international success initially. Thankfully, after a feature on the NOW album series, radio support, the House of Fraser Christmas advert and an X Factor performance by one of the contestants, it looks set to chart Top 5 here in the UK. It's never easy to take a cover of a really old song and give it a new lease of life but Grace achieves that with a R&B/Pop jam that gets stuck in your head for days on end.

#3. Pep & Rash - Rumors

Deep house? Check. Catchy vocal? Check. Incredible drops? Check. The song speaks for itself.

#2. CHVRCHES - Leave A Trace

One of my favourite bands of all time returned on top form this year. Leave A Trace was the first single from CHVRCHES' second album. Everything this band touches just turns to fabulousness and this song is no exception. It just misses out on the top spot but with epic synths and haunting vocals, coming second place is irrelevant with a song as good as this.

#1. Martin Solveig feat. Sam White - +1

:yahoo: :yahoo:

Where do I start with this? Martin Solveig returned to the dance music scene this year with two songs, the brilliant Intoxicated and this. Viewers of my Personal Chart and users of dubtrack/Plug.DJ will know that I rinsed this to death (and still do). Sam White provides really strong vocals that are catchy af, whilst Martin Solveig delivers incredible production with drops that just blow my mind. This has finally been released here in the UK today and although it probably won't set the official charts alight, it has stormed to the top of mine. This is an all out banger that rightfully deserves the #1 spot for my favourite songs of 2015.
