Posted September 24, 200618 yr TA-DAH and welcome to another week of woolies wonderous chart predictions. Lets see how wrong they get it this week: SINGLES 1. Lily Allen 2. Evanescence 5. Lil Chris 7. US5 9. Pussycat Dolls 10. High School Musical 11. Chris Lake 14. Paolo Nutini 15. LeToya 16. Jesse McCartney Difficult week. Not sure who will end up highest out of the three top entries. Lil Chris debuted quite high on downloads so could he end up at number one? Scissors may end up on top for a fourth week. *shrug* I doubt US5 will get that high. PCD could be slightly higher despite being the 90th single from the album. I wouldn't be surprised if high school musical ended up higher. The amount of people who bought the album this weekend is unbelievable! ALBUMS 2. Jamelia 14. Janet Jackson 15. Katie Melua (Re-release) 20. The Monkees 27. Lupe Fiasco 28. Drifters 29. Nerina Pallot (Re-chart) 30. Bryan Ferry Don't think Jamelia's gonna end up that high. She's probably looking at lower top 10, with Janet top 30. Not much out otherwise. Good to see Nerina being sold again!
September 24, 200618 yr Thank you Dazzle. Can you confirm if Woolies ever stocked Chasing Cars. They didn't have it first week of release, but wondering if they added it at any point. What is US5 comes to mind in the above. As I've never heard of it. Pussycat Dolls a bit low, Lily to high, also maybe Evanescence but not sure. A very good selection again. Thank you woolies. Some interesting ablums also Jamelia at #2 yea it might just happen, so could be right. Janet Jackson could flop tbh looking at the single.
September 24, 200618 yr Why is Janet releasing her album so soon??? She hasn't even released it in the US yet
September 24, 200618 yr There is no way Lily Allen will be #1 US5 :???: where the feck did they come from, not likely
September 24, 200618 yr 1. Lily Allen - AS IF! This may miss the top 10 looking at the download position. 2. Evanescence - This is looking at borderline top 10 I think. 5. Lil Chris - I think this will be a surprise top 2 hit. 7. US5 - Who?! No, these won't be this high. 9. Pussycat Dolls - About right, maybe a couple of places higher. 10. High School Musical - Maybe, but I'd have thought low top 20. 11. Chris Lake - Top 30 for this I think. 14. Paolo Nutini - About right. 15. LeToya - Who?! Won't be this high. 16. Jesse McCartney - Won't make the top 40.
September 24, 200618 yr High School Musical WILL be top 10 next week, the entire album's tracks are ALL in the iTunes 100 chart and 'Breaking Free' is at #15 and rising rapidly, with youngsters hot on the physical this stands a stab at top 5 methinks...
September 24, 200618 yr Lil' Chris will be the highest climber at #3 I think Lilly Allen and Evanescence will scrape the top ten at best.
September 24, 200618 yr I think Lil Chris will be #4, Pussycat Dolls #5, Lily Allen #8 and Evanescnece sadly #11-15. HOWEVER Breaking Free [High School Musical] looks set to be a surprise top 10 hit.
September 24, 200618 yr Author Thank you Dazzle. Can you confirm if Woolies ever stocked Chasing Cars. They didn't have it first week of release, but wondering if they added it at any point. Nope, woolies never sold it. I think they have a kind of arrogance when it comes to stocking singles later on. Its like they dont wanna admit they were wrong not to sell it in the first place. I remember there was one single they starting to sell earlier this year after it charted highly without them. Can't remember for the life of me what it was. US5 are the latest creation from Lou Pearlman - maufacturer of all the US boybands. They're big in some countrues. I had the misfortune to help promote the single earlier this summer. *shudder*
September 24, 200618 yr I don't think Lil Chris stands a chance in the top 3, last person to jump that high was Beyonce, but she went 21-1, if it does I eat my hat.
September 24, 200618 yr Them Us5 always have their advert on the music channels :arrr: I think they're like some Disney boyband
September 24, 200618 yr Aly, LeToya is LeToya Luckett of Destiny's Child fame. :P One of the ones that Beyoncé supposedly threw out. Her album (despite being quite rubbish) was #1 in America. ^_^

September 24, 200618 yr She seems quite talented On the advert she has a great voice She has a good voice Nathan but her songs are just a bit... samey. -_-
September 24, 200618 yr What is this current hysteria about High School Musical?! Am I missing something?
September 24, 200618 yr I don't get it either but "gay" is the word that sadly springs to mind :( Not in the $h!t sense but the entire cast seem well a bit "gay". Particularly "Troy" :kink: :/
September 24, 200618 yr TA-DAH and welcome to another week of woolies wonderous chart predictions. Lets see how wrong they get it this week: to be honest i think the woolworths company is so in the $h!t comercially that they are not that bothered if they do badly or not. the main point is restructuring the company so it doesnt go bankrupt. i think they might end up doing away with most of the albums and singles in time and just be a kiddie clothes store :o
September 24, 200618 yr I don't get it either but "gay" is the word that sadly springs to mind :( Not in the $h!t sense) unlike the feeling which can be both
