Haha, Watch Me is going to be getting a lot of hate on her I imagine, I quite like it to just have a bit of fun to every once in a while and it sounds quite good if you're in the mood but I totally get why people hate it, it's hardly lyrical genius and I suppose like any phenomenon, it can get tiring quickly.

Freak Of The Week was my Summer anthem this year and I'll always hold fond memories of it.

Love Stormzy too (although Shut Up is better than WickedSkengMan). Not big on any of the other recent ones, especially the Beyonce one.

I haven't bothered with Shut Up actually. Thanks for commenting!

Freak of the Week, Worth and Rhymes are massive jams

I'll have to disagree. Thanks for commenting anyway!

Hi Taylor

Don't get why so many people hate Ayo, so catchy for me and I like the raps too. One of my favourite urban tracks this year.

Same goes for I Don't Mind but a bit less catchy, I like a good urban track and they're even better when the hook gets deep within your head

Personally, I wish Chris Brown & Tyga would be marooned on opposite ends of the universe. Do It Again was quite good though.

I don't mind I Don't Mind :kink: I don't bother listening to it by choice though. Love Ayo (but that's because I love Loyal even more and I'm usually a fan of his music). Can definitely see the reason to hate I'm An Albatraoz bc vocals but I find it fun to listen to IMO :music:

yeah Watch Me Whip :puke: my least fave of the year too! :D

To be honest, I don't think I like that sort of rapping. I do like Fuse ODG though, because he's quite different to it.

And yes to you agreeing on the worst song of the year!

Worth It is fantastic :( :( Also don't mind Freak Of The Week!

That top 4 is all utterly horrid though and fantastic winner in the form of that silento thing :puke2: :puke2: Amazing hatechart Taylor

Thanks Ultra! And I'm glad you agree on my top 4!

I guess I'm never in that mood. Anyway, thanks for commenting Josh!

Watch Me was fun for a few weeks but it did tire on me quickly mostly because of the lazy songwriting. I don't hate it though.

Well it did get a little more hateworthy! Watch Me is just a laugh though and should never be taken seriously, not worth the hatred really  Albatraoz is the most marmitey song of the year but I'm 100% on the love side. Ayo is decent but it's just an inferior Loyal which I would always listen to before it. I Don't Mind & Freak Of The Week I can give or take, definitely not the best 2015 had to offer though.

I think the song I agree with most being here is Rhymes, that really is horrifically repetitive and I still have no idea how it peaked so high.

Interesting read Taylor, look forward to your top 200!

I had the same thing for Drag Me Down, which I enjoyed for a while (enough for it to become a #99 smash hit in my personal chart) but I'm sick of right now. I don't hate it, but I find Perfect to far superior.

Whenever there's a marmite track I almost always hate it, although House Every Weekend is an expection to the rule.

I didn't like Loyal but it is a lot better than Ayo.

Obviously I agree on Rhymes. Repetitivity isn't always a turn-off (see House Every Weekend or Wish You Were Mine) but here, that and a few other factors make it a very unpleasant listen.

The second feature will be the albums of 2015.

To be ranked, I must have heard all of the tracks on the standard edition of the album.

#14: Avicii - Stories

220px-Avicii-Stories-2015-1200x1200.png

Songs: 15 (UK version)

Favourite track: The Nights

Other memorable tracks: Broken Arrows, Somewhere In Stockholm, Ten More Days (maybe)

Here we have the massive disappontement that was Stories. While The Nights was a smash hit, making it to #94 on my personal chart, nothing else charted. Waiting For Love is awful, Pure Grinding is just that, The Days is forgettable, For A Better Day isn't any good either. Broken Arrows I can take thanks to the great video, and Ten More Days and Somewhere In Stockholm were also quite enjoyable.

To have a quick look back at Avicii's end of year positions for the True era, Wake Me Up and You Make Me were #68 at #27 for 2013 and Hey Brother was at #77 for 2014. A Sky Full Of Stars (which he produced) was at #70 for 2014.

This is such a step back from True, Levels, Silhouettes and I Could Be The One. I hope he's saving good music for a better day, or something, because i'm not gonna love him if he keeps on like this. Disclosure were heading the same way but that's for their own commentary.

#13: Indiana - No Romeo

220px-Indiana_-_No_Romeo.png

Songs: 13 (standard) / 19 (deluxe)

Favourite track: Solo Dancing

Other memorable tracks: Only The Lonely, Mess Around, Heart On Fire

At #13 we have a completely forgotten album by an almost completely forgotten artist called Indiana. After the glorious Solo Dancing, which hideously underperformed in the chart, I was quite interested in what else this young lady could make. Nothing ever came, but during its release week, where it eventually entered at #17, I posted this in Sunday Chart Predictions (the days where charts were on Sundays feel like years back when it was still the case six months ago!) thread:

I hope so aswell. I haven't heard it, but Solo Dancing was amazing. I hope that's still in the top 100 singles.

In reply to this:

Hope Indiana's album can keep top 20, sure it will!

And another user replied to me with this:

It's good. Strongly recommend it. Looks like it should scrape a top 20 place.

Anyway, cut long story short, I listened to the album. It was good, although there aren't many memorable tracks from it.

Stories was pretty disappointing to me following the sublime True, outside of the singles at least.

Indiana! Didn't like Solo Dancing myself...

Actually forgot Indiana existed oops :kink: :( I did really like Slow Dancing and Heart On Fire though!

Really I can't blame you  I haven't heard of her since the album's second week fall of 17-92, she was probably dropped.

'Stories' is thirteen places too low

('The Days' isn't on the album by the way)

It is on the Japan and Russia edition (along with a Sam Feldt remix of Waiting For Love, which is proof that the two are partners in crime)

Stories was pretty disappointing to me following the sublime True, outside of the singles at least.

Indiana! Didn't like Solo Dancing myself...

For me, even the singles (bar The Nights) were disappointing. There wasn't any notable album track either (as in that I would remember in the long run) when True had the fantastic Dear Boy as a non-single.

Avicii and Indiana  Two good artists and albums

Good artists, yes. Good albums, only Indiana qualifies.

#12: Meghan Trainor - Title

220px-Meghan_Trainor_-_Title_(Official_Album_Cover).png

Songs: 11 (standard) / 15 (deluxe)

Favourite track: All About That Bass

Other memorable tracks: Lips Are Movin', Dear Future Husband, Close Your Eyes, Like I'm Gonna Lose You / No Good For You, My Selfish Heart (deluxe)

The first album I listened to this year, Title finishes in 12th place. The album contains gems such as its four singles, Close Your Eyes, No Good For You and My Selfish Heart, although there are also a few passable tracks (The Best Part (Interlude), 3am, Bang Dem Sticks)

#11: Giorgio Moroder - Déjà Vu

220px-Giorgio_Moroder_-_Déjà_Vu.jpg

Songs: 12

Favourite track: Déjà vu

Other memorable tracks: Wildstar, Tom's Diner, Don't Let Go, 74 Is The New 24, Right Here, Right Now

His first album since Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder, a collaboration album between Philip Oakey (from The Human League) and Giorgio Moroder which included the glorious Together In Electric Dreams, Déjà vu was quite a hit-or-miss album, with Déjà vu, Wildstar, Tom's Diner, Don't Let Go, 74 Is The New 24 and Right Here, Right Now being the hits and Diamonds, Tempted, Back And Forth, I Do This For You and La Disco being the misses. Overall, it was a solid effort, although nothing was absolutely amazing.

#10: Disclosure - Caracal

220px-Disclosure_-_Caracal.png

Songs: 11 (standard) / 14 (deluxe)

Favourite track: Jaded

Other memorable tracks: Nocturnal, Magnets, Omen

After the fantastic Settle album, which included Latch, White Noise and You & Me, all of which I still listen to regularly, my anticipation for Disclosure's second album was high. However, after starting the era with Bang That and Holding On, it crashed down. After initially not feeling it, Omen did grow enough to reach #45, but Willing & Able and Hourglass (especially the latter) made me consider not bothering with the album. Thankfully, the fabulous Jaded became a personal chart top 5 hit and turned things around, and Magnets was good enough for me to listen to the album in full. From there, although Holding On and Hourglass, despite being bad on their own, were surprisingly enjoyable in the album, the only other great track was Nocturnal, which is one of very few tracks as long as it is to warrant all of its length, even if I have created a shorter 5:13 edit.

#9: Stereophonics - Keep The Village Alive

220px-Stereophonics_-_Keep_the_Village_Alive_(Album_cover).png

Songs: 10 (standard) / 16 (deluxe)

Favourite track: Let Me In

Other memorable tracks: White Lies, I Wanna Get Lost With You, Mr & Mrs Smith, Into The World, Song For The Summer

Stereophonics hasn't had the best last six years. In 2009, their album Keep Calm and Carry On was a #11 flop, breaking their streak of #1 albums. In 2010, their former drummer Stuart Cable died. In 2014, they (and Rizzle Kicks) saw half of their name used for the name of an awful eight-piece band on The X Factor.

But, in September, to my surprise, they bagged themselves a sixth number one album after a tussle with Bring Me The Horizon. And deservedly so, as Keep The Village Alive is a very good album, with some great track such as White Lies, I Wanna Get Lost With You, Song For The Summer, Into The World, Mr & Mrs Smith and Let Me In. However, why did they put the best track (Let Me In) only on the deluxe?

They also became relevant enough to perform at the BBC Music Awards, and frontman Kelly Jones appears at the end of this very funny sketch:

Hi Taylor

Really love Title, a big fan of Meghan's whole sound and image actually. One of my favourite newbies of recent times. Really hoping she pushes Title as the final single because it's SO catchy. So glad she's had successful singles though outside of AATB so we can get a new album.

Disclosure is my fave there

Stereophonics aint bad either :)

although Title can go far away :puke:
