June 18, 20169 yr Author It's no problem, but it's worth noting that ARIA don't count streams to certifications, so they're only really relevant when a song is charting and for how it does in the Year End lists. Nonetheless I'd guess at: Love Me Like You - 28,000 pure sales + 6,000 streams = 34,000 chart sales Secret Love Song - 65,000 pure sales + 27,000 streams = 92,000 chart sales Streams also don't contribute to the album chart at all so nothing to add with Get Weird (and THAT would be very difficult to estimate :P) Edit: ACTUALLY upon further checking, I think streams actually do count to certifications (or some singles are just over-certified for some reason). I was basing my Secret Love Song figure on that not being the case (since it recently went platinum), so it might be a bit lower than I thought. Edited June 18, 20169 yr by Dircadirca

Possibly thanks to losing the iTunes #1 effect, Calvin Harris's sales momentum slips enough for Drake to get his 5th week at #1, while "One Dance" is currently only the 5th highest selling song in the country. However, in an odd turn of events, just this weekend "One Dance" hit #1 on iTunes for the very first time, which I've heard is due to TV promos for his album. With Spotify still as it is, it does look fair to assume Drake has a 6th week at #1 locked. The highest selling song this week was actually "Me Too" for some reason, but that's not even top 20 on streams so it can't get any higher than #4. Back to Drake, "Too Good" rises into the top 10 and is his 6th time there, and the 3rd time he's teamed up with Rihanna to do it. In fact at #5 it matches "Work"'s peak. I think iTunes and Spotify AU forgot about Shawn Mendes last week, but gave him the full promo treatment this week, so instead of dropping like the UK, he climbs a lot this week. The Veronicas are also back, and while it's a far cry from their #1 debut with "You Ruin Me", "In My Blood" could climb from here. The album chart has rather low sales up top as the big new release from The Temper Trap doesn't quite perform to expectations (at least for me), and as a result, only narrowly gets ahead of Adele's recently promo boosted album. Nonetheless, it's the band's 2nd #1, which as tends to be the case, means the only album of theirs to not get to #1 is the one people actually really liked (or specifically, the one with "Sweet Disposition"). After that we have Garbage at #9, which continues their run of all of their albums peaking in the top 10. Just missing out on the top 10 is Dope Lemon, which if you're wondering what the heck that is, it's a solo project for Angus Stone who has sold many albums over the last 10 years with and without his sister. Nick Jonas also considerably improves on the #40 peak of his previous album, but he's still not quite capturing the #5 heights that the Jonas Brothers once reached together. Oh and the recent promo boost sees Red Hot Chili Peppers' Greatest Hits set back in the top 10, which is a likely precursor to them debuting at #1 next week.

Interestingly, while in the UK it's hanging on just by its streams, it's now #1 on sales here for the first time ever oddly, which suggests that it's really not going anywhere, any time soon. "Too Good" moving up to #3 means that it's a full on Rihanna/Drake top 3, and it is in fact now the highest chart collaboration between the two. Of vague interest this week is that The Voice brings "Chasing Cars" back into the chart for the first time in years, which brings it up to 70 weeks in the chart. A curiosity about it is that when it was a hit in 2006, ARIA didn't allow digital only singles in the chart, so it didn't chart until they removed that rule a year later. A song that could have been an ARIA #1 has instead only peaked at #53. Red Hot Chili Peppers of course debut at #1, which including their Greatest Hits set is their 6th #1 album here. It does however sadly mean that Radiohead are #2 AGAIN with "A Moon Shaped Pool" which I imagine would have a good chance at #1 had the physical been released either a week sooner or a week later...sigh. Also after the relative underperformance of his last album, Jake Bugg gets his highest peak to date with his 3rd. Gojira also significantly improve their #47 peak with their last album.
June 26, 20169 yr Amazing how Drake is spending so many weeks at #1 everywhere and not just the UK, it's been a while since we've had a hit as big as this.

If it can last enough, it'll be the equal longest runner of the year. That might not happen though as The Veronicas' promo burst on The Voice last week + being discounted on iTunes means that "In My Blood" has a strong shot at #1 next week. The Voice also helps last year's winner Ellie Drennan scrape a second top 50 hit. In general it's a good week for Australian entries, not only does Delta Goodrem have another top 50, but the Alessia Cara version brings Troye Sivan's "Wild" back into the chart. As they have now hit the top 100 on sales (I presume), "Controlla" and "Famous" both finally debut after months of being left off. The latter will likely burst into the top 50 next week. Potentially thanks to these debuts, "Thinking Out Loud" is finally out of the top 100 for the first time since re-entering in late 2014, meaning "Uptown Funk" is the oldest song in the chart at #85, and one of surprisingly only 3 songs with over a year in the chart alongside "Photograph" at #92 and "Lean On" at #100. While over in album land, NZ duo Broods reach a new height of #2 with their 2nd album, which I suspect was very close to the top, but it means another week at #1 for Red Hot Chili Peppers. Incidentally, because of Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers' last album didn't even hit #1, so I suppose this is making up for that. Expect a new top 2 next week from blink-182 & Delta Goodrem, with the order decided on how much promo the latter does.

Her last single peaked at #3 but only spent 5 weeks in the top 50, and Wings is probably the least successful #1 since Harlem Shake. Long gone are the days when she would release 4567 songs of an album and they all go to number 1 ha ha
July 9, 20169 yr Author Long gone are the days when she would release 4567 songs of an album and they all go to number 1 ha ha Yeah I remember those days, she was as unavoidable as an Ed Sheeran & Sam Smith era combined :P I like most of those songs nowadays so I've no problem with it I guess
July 9, 20169 yr Did I miss something ? What's the incredible result for Delta ? Apologies, I saw them on the ARIA website. ...I actually forgot about Wings because it was so long ago  Her peaks are good, but she's not having good longevity, partly because streaming/radio hasn't really been getting behind her. Her last single peaked at #3 but only spent 5 weeks in the top 50, and Wings is probably the least successful #1 since Harlem Shake. Wings went Platinum and Dear Life has been certified Gold so they'd hardly done too badly. Enough's chart run is only beginning in advance of the video release.
